Idk why we're hyping up an old out-of-prime mike tyson as someone who people think has a chance. Thats why I hate Jake for doing this. He's trying to market Mike as someone who still has the sharpness, crispy boxing, and chin as the Mike Tyson of old, when he was the Undisputed champion of the world. Jake loves to do this and yet he calls himself a "professional boxer" that wants to beat Canelo, win a world title, etc. you cant do that when your most dangerous competition is a 57 year old man. And lets not forget that Jake lost to Tommy Fury. A boxer who had the same age, and skill that Jake possesses, just with less social media clout.

He also has to glaze the event for money and more clout. @@killiemucken and that just goes to show you how shit Jake really is at boxing. Aside from his power, he isnt really good at the backfoot. His technique is sloppy when he goes for the finish. I'm surprised you missed such an obvious and crucial factor. Look at the difference in punch speed and movement. Jake telegraphs so badly that there is almost 2 seconds between his shoulders moving and the punch landing. Mike on the other hand is never stationary, Bounces from one side of the centre line to the other constantly, combined with the fact that he has clearly been training his twitch fibers giving him snappy punches in contrast to jakes more sluggish , never pre loaded, stationary punches. Because jake stands so still, it makes his shoulder movement right before he throws a punch very easy to read. Mike is superior in every way other than cardio. The one thing that may let him down. I hope Mike doesn't show mercy. He needs to go for the kill before the gas tank runs dry.

Have you noticed a pattern here? Nearly everyone with amateur or Pro boxing experience thinks Mike will kiss Paul with his gloves. The non boxers all think Paul or any boxer will beat a 58 year old Tyson. As a boxer I understand age is relative, but although a mind can become faded, muscles never forget. Paul doesn't have enough power to knock out a real heavyweight. Paul's workout showed me he has a long way to go. Even when he's not trying to reveal much, he shows us all you need to know. He is super slow. He needs to relax, only throws stiff jabs, no jab variation, horrible head/hand/feet movement, no angle changes, bad follow up defensive movement, no switch transitions, too wide and bladed, no snapping, no shoulder whirl. I would LOVE to box Paul! He should accept challengers from the public.

I'm super impressed with Mike's progress and how good he looks considering his age. It made me compare him to another fighter from a few years ago who decided to make a comeback. And that was Chuck Liddell. There's no comparison between the two first off. But the differences are immediately noticeable. I remember watching videos that were being put out leasing up to the fight on Liddell's training and workouts and sparring. Chuck literally looked like an old man. He was so so so noticeably slow. No reaction time. No power. Zero movement. I remember the comment sections and people saying that Chuck was doing all of that on purpose. That it was so dramatic that he just didn't want Tito to see how fast he still was. And honestly I fell for it too. And mostly because his coaches and training staff kept saying how good he looked in camp and that he was going to rip Tito's head off. And I believed it. There was no way you would watch the absolute joke videos that Liddell was putting out and believe he was that bad and that slow. And had lost that much since he retired. So many people thought he had to be bluffing and putting on an act in those training videos because what coach in their right mind would ever think someone that looked as bad as he did in all of those training videos could beat even a first grader? Lol. Nobody. But fight day came and chuck looked exactly how he looked in All of those training videos. It was sad. Sad to see him like that. And what was even sadder was those training videos were exactly what kind of fighting condition he was in........not able to fight a sloth. And those trainers and coaches should have been fined for not backing him out of that fight. And watching him everyday knowing damn well that he was not able to fight. But they allowed him to get in that ring and get absolutely pummelled by a so so fighter that was also past his prime. He got obliterated. And if Tito was a better fighter chuck would have been knocked out in seconds. But needless to say chuck had no business being there fighting. I don't feel that way with Tyson. The clips that we see of him are very short clips, so we really don't know if he can sustain that speed. But from what we see, he does have speed. And he still does have great power from what we see. But if needed will that power still be there if the fight goes to the later rounds? We don't know because we only see short clips. Cane the only sparring we saw him do was three rounds and we only saw maybe ten seconds of all three rounds of that sparring session.c my worry there is why was he only sparring 3 rounds? He was deep into training camp at that point. He should have been sparring 8 to 10 rounds every sparring session. Getting in the ring and fighting 8 rounds is a whole different ballgame than just working out for a couple hours. So I hope that he did spar at least 8 rounds in the meat of his camp regularly. But from the short clips that we have seen he looks very impressive. Complete opposite from chuck Liddell. I hope Mike is in fight shape and has endurance for a full fight. Cbut I'm also hoping that he knocks Jake out in less than 30 seconds. Lol. But I do understand that it could be completely different once he actually gets in that ring and maybe doesn't look as sharp as he did in all of those short 5 second training clips we've seen over the last year. They tend to almake a fighter look much better than they actually are in those clips. But I still hold out hope that Mike actually does have it. Kids and teens and the younger generation of today have never seen someone like the Tyson of the 80's and 90's fight. That was something special that I'll never forget. Coast thing.....I promise. Lol.c sorry if you've made it this far but I always had to laugh. People would pay tens of thousands to go see Mike fight. And his rights would only last 30'seconds or a minute or two. And most of the time never got to the second round because he would annihilate everyone he faced. And usually super fast. and people would be so pissed because they spent so much money to watch him. But I loved it. He didn't care about pleasing anyone. He just wanted to rip everyone's head off that he faced. And he did. Sorry about the ridiculously long comment. Lol.

Tyson is over a decade past his mid 40s ... Unfortunately even though Mike is the GOAT and still has a lot of power, he is just old now. Older fighters just cant eat hits like they could in their prime, and when you're going up against someone 30 years younger and 20-30lbs heavier its not good at all. I don't think most people are haters as much as they just don't want to see one of the greats get knocked out in old age. Fight wouldn't even be worth talking about if Mike was younger.

One interesting thing about this matchup is that Jake is one of the very few fighters whom Tyson won't have to jump up to hit. Jake and Tyson are almost identical in height in bare feet and their reach is nearly the same. Discounting the bogus stats listed by other sites, Jake is 5'11 and has a 74" reach while Tyson is 5'10 with a 72-73" reach. So they are very similar in height and reach. Jake wears elevator shoes so he gives off the impression that he's much taller than he is.

the look on coach's face when he's bracing for the strikes is absolute gold. His life flashes before his eyes with every combo. Seriously though its insane how he can move for a guy looking at 60. Is this a lose-lose for Jake? If he wins everyone will discredit him for beating a 58 year-old. If he loses then he lost to a 58 year-old. If he puts Tyson on the canvas the fight is rigged. If he goes down then he's a shitty boxer. Still tuning in either way.

@HiddenUsername120 сағат бұрын
@ I mean sure, but he was a big name prior to stepping into boxing. That warrants higher payouts just due to his name, it's the new-age entertainer influenced boxing scene. At what point does he start formidable opponents in his age and weight class that will challenge his skill. Sure he's good for the time he has, sure he has fought athletes, and sure other pro fighters chose the same route to stack their record, but you can say you're destined for legacy and doing this and that for the boxing world when your only loss is Tommy fury. Which if they fought again nearing 2 years later who knows which way it would go.

As Someone who had the pleasure of watching Mike in the early 80's I can tell you that after the fist Mike Tyson Combo Sequence, Jake's game plan will be hold and run. Guaranteed. That's If He Makes It Through The First Sequence. I would say that Jake is bottom Tier Pro it this point in his development. He Does Not Have The Defensive Skill Set Yet To Deal With Someone With Mikes Technical Prowess. It Will Become Evident In The First 60 Seconds.

I feel like gassing up Mike Tyson hasn't done him any favors....Personally don't think he should have let all the yes men direct him into doing this fight...Anyone can look like a badass doing pad work, especially a retired pro. Fact is even if he wins he is putting his health at risk. He's nearly 60, and clearly doesn't have the same legs as he did when he was pro, people need to stop saying preposterous shit comparing him to his pro days....I think people that gassed him up pre fight should be ashamed if Tyson gets knocked out. A competitor like Tyson doesn't know how to say NO, it is in his blood to keep on competing until he doesn't breathe. I really hope he doesn't get seriously hurt; the man has nothing to prove, and boxing is an unforgivable sport when it comes to biting off more than you can chew.

Ok so when has Jake showed any ability whatsoever to be able to actually fight a decent boxer and win???? Tommy Fury beat him, and he is rubbish, and the 2 tomatoe cans that he fought Andre August and Ryan Bourland were obviously picked for a reason. I mean of all the young talent out there, they pick these two who had 1 fight between them in 5 years with 1 working on an old rig and the other a motivational speaker!!! They must of scoured the whole of america to find 2 boxers who have a bit of a record but have hardly boxed who would fight for a 2 million doller pay day!!!! But then, after fighting them 2 bums, he thinks he can fight Canelo! If he some gow beat Mike its because he is fitter and younger! Not cos he is a better boxer! This fight proves nothing. Mikes skills will always and forever be better than Fake Paul, that's why i think he is just trolling. He is just seeing how far he can keep taking his fans' money. Mike, please send this little chunk into orbit!
