Gotta love Watt. Been a fan since seeing Minutemen on SST bands tour back in the early 80s. Pre anything Minutemen I wore flannel shirts because it is the perfect layering garment for the San Francisco climate which can go from foggy mornings to sunny to hella windy then back to foggy. Flannel shirts were also part of the San Francisco western neighborhoods youth fashion... Ben Davis pants, steel toe logger boots or leather Nike high tops, flannel or Pendleton shirt, hoodie under a Derby jacket... 1980s

I knew of the Minutemen because friends played cassettes sometimes, but later when I heard The Brave Captain on the Streets on Fire skate video my mind was blown. Only today, now that I'm learning to play later in life can I understand how Mike Watt creased my cortex.
