You have enough elastic left over to help keep your socks up and save passing strangers who have knicker elastic issues. Super hero Mike swoops in to save the day.

My preference is stitching, I found the midori fascinating for its ease, its convenience and its versatility. Oh, you clever lad, you have sparked by creativity again. In some ways: damn you and bravo you.

In the US, standard copier paper is 20 lb weight. Thanks for sharing, Mike.

I think the Tim Holt paper is 100 lb weight which is the usual weight of card stock. you can also get printer paper that weight too . both in white and in bright colors

I really love your videos because you have a great wit. I love the little asides you say and I laugh out loud. Super video as always. This project is coming along very nicely. I guess one could use a type of water colour paper about 160 to 220gsm and you could art journal in the pages (as long as your printer could take the thicker paper), or just use plain 250 gsm water colour paper. Then you have a note half and an art journaling half. Hugs to all xxx

Get a Brother Color laser printer. You won't regret it! The toner lasts so much longer than an ink jet and the color is so sharp.

I think your lapbooks would make a great gift! I'm going to make one for my mother-in-law. I noticed to construct your first one, you used duck tape, and on this one, you used masking tape. Is that really strong enough to hold up to use? I did find some duck tape that looks like burlap-thought that would work great for a grunge or vintage style book. Thank you for the great tutorials!!! Hugs to you, Ian, and Mr. Bentley!

Hi Mike love the book and the videos to make it. One question Is the elastic you used cord elastic or flat elastic? It looks like rounded cord elastic to me but just checking. XX
@MikeDeakinArt6 жыл бұрын
Hi Laura - 2mm cord elastic which you can get from most jewellery making shops - I bought mine from The Bead Shop on eBay for £2.50. XO

Thanks Mike thought it was cord, think I have some, but thanks for the info. X

I found some 12x12 digital scrapbook paper packs on Etsy that I really want to use to cover my handmade books & albums like this. Digi paper seems to come in a much larger variety than than traditional packs from vendors like Graphic45 or Tim Holtz. The problem is I can't find any body to print them. So far, I've had no luck at Fedex, Staples, Office Max and Costco. Do you know any place where can I get this done? Also, if they ask me to choose a paper, what kind would be the closest to store bought packs? Thanks :)

Mike Deakin Oops sorry. I'm in the US in the state of Ohio. Perhaps you know of some online print shops that would work?
@MikeDeakinArt7 жыл бұрын
I did a quick Google search for Copy Shops in Ohio and pulled up quite a big list - maybe you'll find one close to you - as for weight of paper - you'll need something double or triple the thickness of standard printer paper. Here in the UK we use GSM not LB for paper weight - but I'm sure if you talk to someone local via a Google search they'll be able to help you out.

LMAO....” the less said about that the better” the notion of what is masculine and what it is and is not, is still a bit straight jacketed, but hey I remember when wearing a pink shirt was very revolutionary things change just never quite at the speed we think they should

NO, NO, NO: I must wait for the piece de resistance. How cruel you are. Or: a marketing genius. I am trying to decide.
