Did you try that by any chance? A Manual came with mine saying that non emv version should be inserted into the reader first then swiped. haven't gotten the chance to try it yet.

So I've had it work about 50/50 with movie pass. Would you recommend to swipe the Fuze fast or slow? When ever I see employees swipe it's very quick and it doesn't go through

I want to say 'regular'. Usually employees know roughly what speed they need to swipe the cards at, since they do it all day at work. I've just about never had a swipe fail at AMC theatre kiosks, but they are the newer ones with the big touch screens.

Mike Mu, this tech is WAAAYYY better than Fuze, I'm shocked you didn't go into more depth about them. Inbuilt Cellphone antenna. Inbuilt Organic Recharging. 65,000 pixel display. Push-notifications. I would if a product actually gets released. Unfortunately a lot of these amazing products end up being vaporware, or release a product that ends up going nowhere fast (coin) - same with a lot of awesome technologies I get to see in CES. Well I hope Dynamics makes it, as I've invested in a few other companies which have not worked out in this same space.

Well, there are technical and/or commercial hurdles sometime. In addition to the card hardware (less problematic), the big issue is - as someone commented earlier - to intagreate the card into current payment infrastructure, considering the payment scheems in the regions. The DWC (Dynamics Wallet Card) is sold to banks. Banks do have the machanism for payment cards/devices to integrate them into the payment ecosystem, according to EMV-rules (Important question is of course, who and how much will pay for the card and whether it will be worth). FUZE follows the direct selling approach, which might cause problems in the field with no local solution. The only company - as per my knowledge - which delivers wallet cards in large volumes is this: www.slekt.co/. The cards are currently available for KOREA only, therefore not seen in the public yet. The company will extend the business outside Korea but needs time for obvious reasons (described above). Important is, that the cards will be sold locally with local support.

You can, but mostly at restaurants that haven't upgraded to EMV chip readers yet. Or anywhere that they don't support chip yet for swiping your card. I suppose if you setup security on it as well, you can also use it to store the CC#s on your card where any merchant can use to charge you with the numbers alone (and ID verification). Costco gas stations don't work for me. ATM machines is a hit or miss, but mostly a miss. Restaurants and movie theatres almost always work because they don't use EMV around here yet.

Hey quick question if you put a e-gift card can you use the magnetic strip instead or using the barcode ? For example if I buy a Target gift card online can I upload it to the fuze card will the card automatically make it a barcode or does it have the option to translate into a magnetic strip ?

Magnetic stripe based, yes. Barcode based, no. ie Target gift cards online have a barcode, and I don't think with the current software you can just take the barcode and put it on the card. I haven't used a Target physical based gift card in a while, but if that is how it is scanned at Target, I see no reason why you can't replicate the magnetic portion. Still for barcode based, you're better off using your smartphone for that.

There is *no screen* on the back of my Fuze Card, however the screen in front supports some barcodes - really limited by the size of the screen and number of digits and encoding method.

Just obvious things. Many places don't accept cell phone payments just yet, but almost everyone can take a magnetic stripe. Would love to be able to just use the cell phone to just tap and pay for movies at the kiosk. That's what I use my Fuze card for most of the time when it comes to swiping. Other times, its a restaurants.

This card seems like it's only useful for criminals to load stolen credit card information on. There doesn't seem to be any benefit to a regular consumer.

Nazraq S That’s probably what the regulators are thinking. In fact criminals are using this for stolen credit card data (was reported) because it’s better to be caught with this than 20 stolen credit cards if caught. Here’s hoping that things like Apple Pay get more traction at the restaurants I frequent in LA.

James Richards If you can order it and download the app called eCard Manager (I can link it) then you can. Or if you are able to buy one on eBay and get the app installed it would work - but with the same limitations I’m experiencing right now.

Wrong... information each scan reads the other ares to confirm. Bar moves each time then ends and done. Now where is the CHIP card yea delayed now 3 months.used it in restaurant and the police showed up. Thanks that took some explaining.

Michael, my issue was the bar does not move at all sometimes. As in doesn't register the card was swiped. Just nothing. So I just give up on the card, and the process. Sometime a while later, I'd try again and then sometimes it'd work. Although I have found that if I get at least one swipe in, then it good the rest of the scans, no issue. That is the complaint that I had. I was using an iPhone X and iPhone 6s Plus - have experienced the same scenario on both. But I finally managed to get all the cards I wanted in there. Wow... sounds like that restaurant reported you.

I'd definitely have it paired to my phone, and once out of bluetooth range, have it autolock. I don't think I'd go through the hassle of putting an extra pin on the card and the bluetooth. If there are any charges on my accounts, I get notified through my app on my iphone immediately anyway.

Maybe. But that's no different than any magnetic card reader skimming. Using the card, yes easier. I can have multiple cards all in one card, but that's the point (for personal use).
