Hahahahahaha....... Fake plates at its best ..... Mike could probably manage 3 plates close grip not 4 , no way 5.…. That would make Mike in his fifties stronger than Ronnie Coleman in his prime lol... SO ridiculous......
@jd0879
@jd0879 2 жыл бұрын
5:40 No that’s extremely false. 1) Mike is doing a limited range of motion which greatly increases the amount of weight he can move 2) Mike did a One Rep Max, Ronnie could do 495x5 full ROM which puts his Project ORM to 580 (Almost 6 plates). Ronnie was still way stronger than Mike

I'm 52 yrs and love my weight lifting and I fully understand and respect you both. I do agree with Billy that most youngsters start to have a good body to impress and find that girl there after, and it finishes up there married life and kids. We at our age understand that we want to keep our strength and mobility well into our 70tees. Gym and strength training is a way of life if you choose it to be, and Mike your offering a platform and techniques that are proven and tested to work for thise who want to go the distance. I am with you Mike and Billy and all other body builders who are over 50s and pushing hard sensibly like when in our 20s, this is a marathon not a 100m race. Love your videos and yes I am getting stronger and bigger each year, and I look forward to training with my 4 kids as they will be old enough in the next 7 yrs.💪👏

Billy Gunn is 100% when he says that people don't look at exercising as a long term, lifestyle routine. Most of my friends stopped working out in their early 30s while I continued. I'm 37 now preparing to compete in Olympic Weightlifting competitions with a pretty lean body, while my friends are getting surgeries.

Mike, incredible video, awesome content, and motivational! Can you please talk about building a stronger neck and traps in a video. I have had a couple neck injuries over the years and really enjoy doing shrugs, but I always seem to get very tight afterwards and either overwork the muscle, or don’t do the exercise properly, or don’t stretch correctly. Can you give us a little guidance in regards to how to accomplish the goal of having a bigger, thicker, and stronger neck. Thanks so much for all the awesome content, I feel like I’m watching the encyclopedia Britannica on Weightlifting and health.

Billy and Mike and right in saying that most people these days are just worrying about the present moment and not longevity in terms of where they will be in 10 years. That's most people watching, but their are also tons of bodybuilders who are taking way too many drugs, and pushing way too hard way too fast to the point that their's no chance they will even be around in 10 years, and I think most of them know that, and that's unfortunate, because bodybuilding is supposed to be healthy and improve your body long term and longevity. Billy and Mike are both super impressive and doing amazingly well in longevity, and I strive to do the same, and I get motivation watching them.
