its not overtraining, it's called training harder! your training harder than you're used to so it's called training harder, there are people that train hard then and when training hard isn't enough you can train harder, over training is a type of training where you go beyond training harder and you don't give time for your muscle to rest and recuperate which is actually non-beneficial don't confuse people or they might have some serious injuries. training your biceps 5 times a week is over training, which will cause injuries, training the same muscle and not giving it time to rest is overtraining, what you're doing is not over training, its called failure training and that's training harder.

Interesting, here is a cake recipe i use Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a medium bowl, mix together the crushed gingersnap cookies, pecans, and butter. Press into the bottom, and about 1 inch up the sides of a 9 inch springform pan. Bake crust 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Set aside to cool. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, and vanilla just until smooth. Mix in eggs one at a time, blending well after each. Set aside 1 cup of the mixture. Blend 1/4 cup sugar, pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg into the remaining mixture. Spread the pumpkin flavored batter into the crust, and drop the plain batter by spoonfuls onto the top. Swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect. Bake 55 minutes in the preheated oven, or until filling is set. Run a knife around the edge of the pan. Allow to cool before removing pan rim. Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.

Josh Ortiz I don't think you know what over training is. What Mike Rashid refers to as over training is actually overLOADING. He defines it pretty well. You won't get anywhere by lifting the same weight every time for the same amount of reps every time. You have to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Over training is hitting the same muscle group five days a week for months at a high intensity. Boot camp only lasts a few weeks. They don't go on with it forever. The same with special forces like the Navy SEALs and the British SAS. Hell week is there to weed out those, who can't keep up.

When people talk about overtraining being bad, they're usually talking about hitting the same muscle group before its recovered. Like hitting chest every single day would be over training. We already know doing 40 sets for chest day all out isn't over training, it's just pointless. Lol

I'll break this shit down for you all. This is a great video and I agree with them about pushing yourself to your limits, BUT, don't even think about working out like this if you haven't been working out for atleast 2 years minimum. You're muscles need to be mature to be able to handle this type of training. Plus you have to have a good diet to be able to work out this rigorously. Overtraining is working out without giving that body part enough time to rest and recover. So don't go in the gym training chest 3 times a week expecting it to grow. Yes it might grow but it is pretty unlikely. You will just get terrible cramps in your chest. And you will lose strength too. So if you work out 3 hours on chest day and you have a proper diet, get enough sleep, and give it enough time to rest, then you will be fine. Only lazy people will say this is overtraining because they're too stupid and lazy to put in the work.

BlTERS Well I have a slightly different take on this, I think anybody at any level should try to push his/her self to the limits, but the thing is obviously as your muscles mature, you can handle a lot more volume, hell you need more just to get a good workout. The thing is everybody has different needs for what it takes to get a good workout, most beginners, and even a lot of advanced lifters can't do what Rashid and them did in this video, but I think it's beside the point, which is that everyone needs to really push the limits on every workout, the thing is at the end of the day, only you know whether you really pushed yourself during the workout. So I don't think Rashid is telling people to do this exact workout, he's just showing them how to push the limits. Because I agree, if you don't push the limits during a workout, your only gonna maintain what you have

That's why you'll stay the same and never grow. Sometimes u gotta take the logic out of it and train relentless.
