I recently started to do this and I’ve been experiencing the same results. During fasting, I’m more alert, focus and able to get shit done. Don’t get me wrong the hunger does creep in lol questions, instead of breakfast can I do a protein shake?

This makes sense. I’m always practicing intermittent fasting. I’m just so confused on the whole, if I need my bodyweight in protein, the whole 1 g per pound of bodyweight ; so much research is showing that it’s beneficial to us , and eating a Mediterranean style diet. I do want to keep building muscle at the age of 41 but sometimes I feel better when I intermittent fast, I’ll be experimenting with everything.

i do this (omad), keto & zone2 cardio. I cant tell you how it changed my life. 250lbs to 187lbs in 77 days. No food cravings bc the fats are so high. More productive at work, no brain fog, no daily sugar crash and stronger in the gym.

During the weekdays, I only eat from about 4 PM to 8 PM Monday through Friday. I may drink some tea in the morning and during the day I work out every day is something I had to get used to, but now I’m not even hungry during the day until I get home.

Fasting too long has negative affects on the body and produces negative affects that start to destroy the results you get from lifting. All you really need to do is control your sugar and sodium intake. Those 2 things extremely control how our body works with other nutrients, amino acids, etc. There is a common perfect window, the things you talk about that contribute to survival lifestyle are bull and void for our society because we have far been removed from hunting and gathering on a daily basis. It ends up killing your testosterone, cortisol levels and disrupts your cerebral cortex and makes you respond and react from your limbic system which are just primal instincts void of practical thought

Good preaching Mike. There are proven benefits to fasting and how it works wonders for the body. I personally lately have been starting my day with a black cup of coffee and a protein shake with coconut oil added to it. I wouldn't actually eat until later in the day. I keep myself hydrated as well during the day and I've definitely began to notice the difference with my weight and energy. I haven't been craving junk as much and I've been told that I look younger at 40. I'm also definitely keeping myself physically in in working condition with resistance training and cardio.

You overeat anything: Carbs, Fat, or Protein and you will get fat. But, this is just a new fad. It's not better or worse than eating multiple times a day. People who lose weight for a living, bodybuilders, have proven you can eat multiple meals a day, meals which include carbs and still lose weight.

How does this work for type 2 diabetes
@optimuspremo
@optimuspremo 8 сағат бұрын
I don’t usually do,this but I saw your question and since I have Type 2 Diabetes and I am also doing this I can say for me it works. It helps me concentrate on what I am going to eat and what I am eating , making sure it is something I can live with. Let’s be honest and say most people don’t have their ‘sugars’ under control because it’s hard especially when the ‘buffet’ is open. But this approach has given my body and my mind ‘new’ perspective both physically and metaphysically. If you are training and trying to get into form…sugars ain’t going down with 3 squares plus a snack in a 24hr period. Just ain’t going to happen. Fasting has allowed my body to ‘purge’ so to speak so I meet my morning number at around 80-97. I also have invested in gaining knowledge of different homemade teas and such for any time I get the ‘urge to break back into bad habits. also if you are taking meds and you are fasting you should be able to see what happens when you don’t take meds associated with eating. Like your meds are supposed to help you yes but fasting is helping yourself. Hope that helps

I've been fasting for 94-96 hours over the past 12 weeks. In other words, for the past 90 days, I've eaten 24 meals. The results... 47 pounds of body fat GONE. 2/29/24 240lbs. 6/1/24 190lbs. Fasting + Cardio + Strength Training is powerful if you want to cut excess body fat almost overnight. It takes tons of mental discipline and is definitely not for everyone.

Awesome video, I started 1 meal per day between 4-6pm last year I went from 225 to 200 in 1 month, 2nd month 190. I'm maintaining at 180 right now and am in the best shape of my life, I have passed everyone I use to look up to at the gym and they now ask me wtf I'm doing to loose weight LOL... I read "How to eat to live" by the honorable Elija Muhammad and this book changed my life, just like you say your body needs time to digest each meal 24hrs so if you eat multiple times your body is always digesting and unable to fight disease and illness. Everything you say is true and I hope they listen to you.... Respect
