I've always been interested in audio processing but mostly learned on my own until I took an "audio design" course at university. While working on assignments, I found this channel. Even though I try to understand what each effect does, sometimes I can't hear the difference and miss out on these useful techniques. Thanks for your videos ,they've taught me a lot and really helped with my assignments.

It's amazing how formal education combined with online resources like this channel can really help solidify your understanding of audio processing, and I'm stoked to have played a part in your learning journey!

Hi Mike great videos and content.I use Audacity for my singing.Isnt there a app or program that have different presets that can work with one press and your voice is right. Will help alot .Each song needs different presets wich takes long to process.Kind regards from South Africa. Keep up the good work

really great video thank you. at about 7:30 you talk about holding down the alt key (I am on a PC) - I tried it and it did nothing for me - nothing came up as far as choices for types of sound effects
@MikeRussell14 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear that the Alt key trick didn't work for you.

Hello, I'm not even a beginner but amateur. But I really enjoy your approaches. Well can use these in Adobe Premiere Pro 2021?
@MikeRussell14 күн бұрын
Yes, all the approaches I share are 100% compatible with Adobe Premiere Pro.

I'm still comfortable using audition for audio editing
@MikeRussell21 күн бұрын
That's totally understandable, Audition is a powerful tool and many creators stick with what they know and love!

I need to split 2 voices from an overlapping conversation, in a 1 fully mixed audio file
@MikeRussell21 күн бұрын
That's a challenging task, but you might want to try using machine learning-based audio separation tools like iZotope RX or Adobe Audition's Debreath and De essen features to see if they can help you isolate the individual voices.

So is it just not even worth it to use adobe audition anymore?

What do you think?

@@MikeRussell I'm not sure that's why I'm asking...
@thedefinitionwithmarvincho205820 күн бұрын
Why don't we have all these cool tricks on audition?
@MikeRussell14 күн бұрын
I'm guessing it's because Audition is more focused on audio editing and restoration, whereas these tricks are more suited for video editing and visual effects.

enhance audio is rubbish vs voice isolation from Da Vinci. enhance audio works ok more in English. With other languages, he makes mistakes, crushes voices, takes it on the plow

textbased editing in premiere is not new, came almost 2 years ago..
@MikeRussell28 күн бұрын
Yeah you're absolutely right, Adobe did introduce text-based editing in Premiere a while back, appreciate you bringing that to everyone's attention!

You don't need a blow up doll face on your thumbnail to get people to watch your videos. 🙄

I understand what you mean, but I've found that eye-catching thumbnails really do help get my content seen by more people!
