Mike. Just rereading about your Twister Jeep in RC Car Action. FANTASTIC!! Master Class Build, really spot on. I would never attempted such a build from a Clod body, let alone NAIL IT!!!

This is really odd cause I watched this video earlier today and then I was just flipping through channels and I see twister. So I had to go back to the video and see how accurate your Jeep is and let me just say, it's perfect. Beautiful job .

RCHobbySteve this tank has been going strong for the last few years. I’ve built a few marlin Crawler replica front bumpers, few sets of a sliders and whatever else. I also use it for automotive stuff when I don’t wanna fire up the big torches. You’ll definitely get your moneys worth

Thanks for the "How-To" I built my bumpers for the Bronco using my MIG but I would like to try brazing. Dorothy should do great at USTE. @3dogrc
@MikesRCWorld6 жыл бұрын
Anthony Fricks it’s funny how it works, I would love to learn how to tig weld. I have a mig but for the rc stuff I tend to steer towards the brazing. Just comes out cleaner then the mig IMO
@anthonyfricks24696 жыл бұрын
Looks much cleaner!! You could really call my MIG work on the scale bumpers Grinding rather than Welding...I spent more time doing that... I am going to give brazing a whack. Thx for the inspiration!

love the vid bro but honestly i was literally cringing watching you cut that little piece with the dremel. I dont wanna sound like that typical dude that preaches eye protection but my buddies dad just lost his eye doing the exact same thing and saying "ahhh it will be ok this time". Trust me Ive done it too simply because you leave your eye pro across the room and dont wanna walk over and grab them. What ive done in my garage/shop setup is just buy a few cheap harbor freight glasses and stash them all over the place where i would need them most like by the vise, by the by the bench grinder, throw a pair in your tool box, and throw a pair by your screwdrivers or most used tool so that it makes it alot easier to actually have a pair near you when needed. Then if you want and this is what I did after buying a few cheap ass pairs to stash around the joint I purchased a nice pair of framed clear lensed saftey glasses for like 17 bucks on amazon that actually fit well and are comfortable like sunglasses and they are my #1's. The ones you try to put on right when you step into the shop to do some work. They fit like sunglasses so they are easy to wear and you dont mind them like you do some bozo ones. This method has really helped me to always have eye pro on or atleast at my fingertips when i need it. Its not worth it bro....losing an eye over spending maybe 25 bucks on some eye pro to scatter around the work area. I do alot of metal work welding, wood work, and Im an RC guy myself crawlers baja trucks so roll cages is something Im into and experimenting with. I loved the vid bro but Id hate to see anything happen. Just a little tip i used to combat my issue with not wearing eye protection. True story by the way......my buddies dad always gives the story now to anyone not wearing eye protection and every time you hear it, and think about it you truly realize how much its not worth the risk. And how many times have you been cutting metal or something and a little fragment comes up and hits you on the cheek or lip and you think to yourself "damn that was close" and you look for the glasses lol its happened to us all so just a lil tip that i used to help combat it....thanks for the vid and hope it helps brotha!!
@MikesRCWorld3 жыл бұрын
Not going to disagree, thats why at 2:07 I state that I should be wearing them ;)
