When the watch is new or has been reset it is in pairing mode. So open the app and start the pairing process it is really easy to do

I swear by these Chinese cheapo fitness trackers (in general, not necessarily this exact one). You get 90% of the features for a third the price or better ... bang for buck dips drastically on fit bands priced much over 20 USD... that's just been my observation. As far as accuracy and build quality ... can you really tell if it's off by a small margin? If your not a professional athlete, than probably not. And mine lasted 4 years and still works, just a small bit of plastic is broken such that it still clasps together and will stay on my wrist for regular activity but for exercise levels of activity, the part where the band attaches to the watch body is friction fit and that's the bit of plastic that broke so the band will start to slip off the watch with sweat and the prying action of lots of wrist bends in short succession... so accuracy, good enough for non-pros, build quality ... 4 years and functional still... tell me that's not worth 20 bucks... you'll spend 50 or more for a name brand one... in 8 years it will probably still be around ... mean while in that same 8 years, I'll have spent $10 less and have a watch that's half as dated and and half as obsolete and it'll be time to replace both anyways... so unless you really need a feature or the extra niceness than your probably better off getting a cheapo. To quote McLemore "I call that getting tricked by a business..." Just saying.

Can it rotate the watch screen into landscape as opposed to portrait? A deal breaker if it can't, I can't stand the portrait mode, and can't believe that I'm in the minority on this despite the fact that it's the default on literally every fitness tracker I've ever seen, and that most of them have the option to change this yet I've never seen anyone else switching it. So in spite of all the evidence, I maintain the belief that way way more people would prefer it the other way than actually bother to change it because either they don't realize they can, they prefer it in landscape but not enough to hassle with it, or they are into backgrounds and layouts and are willing to compromise orientation for a cool pictures or having the time and the date switch sides or something like that... it's easier to believe than believing that hundreds upon hundreds of samples (me seeing someone wearing one on the train or something) show zero other people who would rather it be landscape... anyways if it does change it'll be in settings>device>more>orientation if the app is as much of a clone to all the other cheapo Chinese fitness trackers' apps as it looks like it is.

@@mikesunboxing good to know, my wrists is boney so they sit at a slight angle, and it just doesn't work for me in portrait mode, plus I read slow and the hours stacked on the minutes throws me off... the last thing a slow reader needs. I think I'll just get another letsfit or letscom (dispite their looking identical, having companies with strikingly similar names, the same user manual, and the same app, same price,) they are different ... one rotates the other does not... probably a few other slight differences too, and I don't remember which is which, and I have one... but I have the bookmarks to figure it out when buying time comes (payday), so I'll sort it out then but yeah I'll probably just get another of the one I already have.
