Great recipe ! Thanks for sharing. Here's a tip for everyone: if you love a frothy drink but don't have a fancy milk frother, pour the golden milk into a Mason jar, put the lid on and shake it up. You will get a beautifully foamy beverage this way

Having fibromyalgia when I first found the recipe for Golden milk and it's benefits I made it that very night and I can honestly say it really helps. I slept better the first night and not as much pain the next day. It has an amazing taste (though I've used coconut oil) that's rich. I like to keep my cup pretty warm as the taste changes as it cools, but don't let that keep you from drinking it. Also I want to mention That a friend's hands were swollen from arthritis so much he could barely bend his fingers. That night he drank 2 cups of Golden milk before bed and woke the next morning with no swelling no stiffness and hardly any pain! 🧡😊

Hi Robin, I just made this recipe and it was amazing! I loved your cinnamon addition. I have made a slightly different variant in the past by adding in some nut butter, and vanilla essence. I also make a slightly different golden turmeric paste for my dog that has arthritis. It is turmeric powder, water, coconut oil and freshly ground pepper, and I occasionally add ginger if I have fresh; and I have been able to keep him limp free and off western medication.

This sounds absolutely delicious, and I’m go into try it tonight . Just a suggestion; if you use whole milk vs almond or other non fat types , you will not need to add the butter for the fat. @@twin86040317 i think so you should use butter because research shows it helps in bioavalibility of turmeric components that help in reducing inflammation and add it in the beginning so it gets enough time to dissolve fat soluble components of turmeric ... a lot of turmeric substances are metabolized by intestine wall which is interfered by pepper to enhance in blood availability which may be bad idea if your bad throat was because of intestine issues ... so i think one should try without butter and pepper to see if it works better for throat ... for swelling in body use with butter and pepper

He has a Honey shop in the city of Bassano del Grappa, Italia, I'm a US service member stationed here. He has been in the Honey business for over 55 years, its passed through the family. He has all kinds of Honey and they come with different colors to, it depends on altitude and what things the bees are consuming that gives its color and consistency. Well in regards to heating Honey, he had told me when ever you add honey to a drink or anything you should never add when it is hot. Only add when its warm because you lose the nutritional value of the honey. But the hole thing about honey becoming toxic if you heat it is absolutely false.

Hi, Robin! I’m drinking my first Golden Milk! Of course I went over board on the amounts of Tumeric & Pepper. I figured I’d gain all the benefits in one cup! I wound up using one teaspoon of honey, the pepper still burned so I used some real maple syrup, a lot of cinnamon, fresh ginger & Tumeric. I want to do this everyday. I put the sweetener when it was drinking temp. Thanks so much!
@patleo1232 жыл бұрын
Hi, I think its not safe to drink this everyday. 2 or 3 times a week is fine. An adult should not consume more than half a teaspoon of cinnamon a day.
@beautifulblesseddestinywin59952 жыл бұрын
Maple Syrup has only bad benefits, as it increases insulin resistance. Be sure to look for another alternative.

Dark chocolate is high in iron so that's good
@Tesana4 жыл бұрын
Huh, that's interesting, @@vtecnegro85, though, wouldn't the caffeine in the chocolate inhibit the absorption of most of the iron?
@nicolebrennon69074 жыл бұрын
So is the dark chocolate considered a fat? Because of the butter or coconut oil or milk which are fats. They help the Tumeric absorbed in your body.

By your name handle, I can tell you are a Republican. Me too. I like to think we are fact people. I have an intrest in health science and find Drs. to be very careing people. Can you imagine if there was no profit involved, how much testing would be done? There would be mostly quacks and a whole lot of snake oil. @Tom Berryhill not free all the time coz you need a "starter seedling" for first time growing. maybe you get it free "starter" from family or friend if you lucky most people use leftover store bought ginger & turmeric to grow their own herb / spice. after 2 or 3 year there come the "free" one coz you dont need to buy it anymore

I like using coconut oil, and black strap molasses in my golden milk. It's so delicious. I personally like to make a Turmeric paste with all of the ingredients minus the milk. Just heat up the milk and add 1/2 tsp to 1tsp. It's convenient and it will last for two weeks in the fridge.

I'm about to turn 46 and I've already started my lifestyle changes when it comes to my food consumption. Less meat, no cheese or flowers, no added sugars, tons of fresh greens, sprouts and others. I love to make smoothies with sprouts, 🫐🫐🫐 and almond milk. I've recently started my 🍵🍵 as well. My favorite so far is fresh ginger, tumeric, honey, lemon and a bit of cinnamon.. 😋 thanks for your video Edit: absolutely nothing processed!! Don't do it folks.. it's all poisonous

Just found your website and recipes and plan on looking at many of them and of course trying them out. Thanks for the great work. Suggestion : replace the butter with 3 tablespoons of rough or finely ground flax seed. That will give you lots of omega 3 fatty acids as well. Butter, even from grass fed cows still ends up being a barbaric food and is totally avoidable. Also replace the honey with "whole plant based food" dates ground to a fine powder, called "Date Sugar". Do not add too much Date Sugar as it tends to thicken the liquid. Furthermore the date sugar gives you lots of antioxidants. A win-win.
