yeah i am with you on that, we have a good number of msi boards here, and i prefer the BIOS and fan control over all the others, rgb software needs some tlc, but otherwise excellent boards in general

Excellently explained Mike. With regrade to Windows 11 upgrade. I believe I know what to do, 1. selecting TPM 1.2 then upgrading it 2.0 and 2. Secure the Boot sector. Although you did mention some caution making those changes.

yes if you enable secure boot or TPM and you have a bitlocker encrypted drive, you will lose access to it without having an unlock key

Setting biis.. One of the more boring part of building a computer. Good thing you mostly have to do it once..

do you need software to control the ARGB fully or is it software support as that is a sale or no sale point for me as I don't run windows. I use Linux and RGB software is limited. I normally like gigabyte as they have basic RGB setting in the Bios stops having bulkware on system

it is really just software support although it seems openRGB and signalRGB are working on linux versions

@@mikesunboxing Yeah both of those can be very hit and miss software. I fail to get my Gigabyte board recognised by it, but then Gigabyte has a basic 7 colour setting in bios. While Msi seem to be only on or off in their bios modes, and reliant on RGB software (bulkware). For now I watching the market as parts are high prices I must say if I going to use credit I may opt for a Laptop as the prices on them have dropped a lot vs similar powered Gaming rigs thanks to the criminal GPU prices. For now I going to sell up my old part while the prices are high for them. RGB is a game ender for me really though.
