Mikey, you are my favorite crochet guru! Not only are you an accomplished fiber artist but you continue to expand my crocheting skills and horizons. Thank you for being who you are, you rule!

I have done this to make a sort of Buffalo check and it's beautiful! It is almost done in a rust and mustard color for Fall. This is the easiest pattern ever, yet it looks complicated.

Thank you for this pattern. I'm going to do this with scrap yarn on the main part then weave through with either black or white. I appreciate you.

This looks amazing! I'm thinking about only doing it as wide as your sample (or maybe double) and making scarves for all the guys on our family! Thank you Mikey!

If you happen to be Scottish (ot even if you aren't) you can look up clan colours to get authentic colours. Thanks for the post!

I was just going to say that since my last name is Leslie, there are several versions of the Leslie tartan to choose from. I did the family crest in needlepoint many moons ago, when I was teenager (I'm in my 60's now) as well as a tartan pillow, also in needlepoint. I can hardly wait to order the yarn and get started on this beautiful project!

I love the bright colors in the picture, Mikey. Going to try some pinkish colors to use up some yarn. Is there a video on how to crochet in the cross yarns instead of pulling them through? I was thinking of it as a crib blanket but the thought of those tiny fingers pulling on the weave through of worries me. It's beautiful!!❤️☺️❤️

Love this. I'll be honest - I think I prefer the colors you used in the sample to the cherry and darker green shades in the pattern. I guess I'd just find a lighter version of the blue as a contrast, and maybe a light turquoise or even pale yellow, and of course the white. Not sure; I'll have to play wth the colors a bit, but i like general effect of spring green and blue. Thanks for the great tip about securing the fringe. As always, your teaching methods are the best!

So, does this end up making an object (afghan, scarf, whatever) that can not be laundered? Totally love the look but I'm concerned that the looseness of the weave secured only by the handknotted ends would not be able to survive being washed.
