Saskatoon air is disgusting, because of the wood burning and diesel cars without filters. In the evenings all the city smells of smoke, in some regions the smoke (from wood burning) is so strong that you can even see it (like in the middle east or 3-rd world countries). Too many pickup trucks on the roads that smell absolutely terrible. In general, no matter how hard you try, at least 3 times a day you have to inhale the air that makes you intoxicated. (smoke from private houses, diesel fumes and etc), There are several parks in the city, where the sewage system always smells of shit. No one takes care about the constant shit odor in some places of the city. Too many drug addicted trash on the streets, so it's dangerous to walk outside after 8 pm. But the air quality in this city is the WORST. Some geniuses built special places for WOOD BURNING in public parks. So every idiot can start burning wood fire near the park roads where people are suppose to run/walk. SO all the people have to inhale all the smoke. Drug addicted people sometimes burn plastic and other trash in these fireplaces. The general air quality in Saskatoon is Very bad. The city has very low level of culture and development. It is a village, Not a city.

@@AlexAlex-go9hg the sewage smell is true. but the amount of smoke you are talking about is completely exaggerated. you make it sound like there's a fire every 100 meters. our air quality is nice compared to many cities. the sewage smell does suck though but only from time to time or in certain neighbourhoods

Really Nice video of a place I was born and raised in and have family still there. Thankyou for this. My Dad was on the Fire Service for 35 years and served his community with pride and dedication. Its a great city to grow up in, with friendly, neighborly, wonderful people. For another video as a suggestion, you should include shots of some of the other beautiful sights in and around Saskatoon, such as University Grounds, (they are much like the beautiful ones here in London), Meewasin Heritage park, Riverbank area, suburban neighborhoods near river, etc. etc. Its the "city of bridges", and it is a " forest city." Great services, good restaurants, excellent healthcare, many recreational activities and parks, entertainment, (the most Tim Horton's per capita in Canada, LOL) and significant population of about 250,000 people. The only thing I do not miss is the brutal winter cold which can dip to -40 (rarely, but it gets there). Thats a shock to people from outside the province, but it doesnt last long, a couple of long months, or so.

Suicide prevention grates installed at the elementary school stairs, the 711 sold deep fried battered french fries and was the only food market in the area, Mouth Wash sold behind the counters. Women beaten beyond belief by their pimps while some fat suburban mom with some wacky accent from the other side of the river tries to feed nasty meat pies and tells me how great the city is.
