I from Ukraine, and faced a lot of blackouts, my setup is Hap ac2 + LHG LTE6 kit. I powered both routers from small dc-dc ups based on 4x18650 3200ah lithium battery, this setup is working about 12hours (one ups per device). SXT LTE kit working as well LHG (especially on urban area). I sitting on the country side and using LHG Lte6 kit because during power outages mobile operators towers is faced outages too, and I get the internet from the far towers when no-one on the city nit have a internet at all. So, I can strongly recommend outdoor router like a LGH LTE kit, SXT LTE Kit, it bring me the possibility to working remotely when others can’t.

Im from Ukraine too. LTE unfortunately was unusable in my (and many other regions) after couple hours of the blackout (which lasted usually for 6 hours). And while "working", the cell base station was too overcrowded to call it an internet. But my Hap AC² was feeded by GPON and my prayers coupled with 2x self-made 30K mAh power packs. Each pack lasted more than 15-20 hours on single charge so i was happy with what I got in the least in that horrible winter.

Maybe check out South Africa. We have regular scheduled power outages every day, 2 hours at time, it's called loadshedding. DC UPS's are the way, with li-ion or LFP batteries. Fast charge between outages and minimal loss because no DC-AC-DC conversion

Another win with Mikrotik is the input voltage range and standard DC connectors. I'm using a 500Wp 24V PV system with two 100Ah batteries, that powers CRS112-8P-4S-IN directly. The switch then powers my HEX router, 2x CAP ac, two cameras, an additional RB260GS and SXTsq Lite5 from my ISP. I have an override switch to put everything on grid during the winter, but it works well 9-10 months of the year. It is super efficient with 680Wh/24h total consumption and saves me about 200kWh from my electric bill. Blackout resistance as a bonus. It would, however, be very nice to see more devices with 802.3at/af POE input, so I can upgrade the PV with DC/DC to get steady 50-54 volts everywhere and power the gear directly without a hassle. But that's just me... or is it?🙃

To be honest, one of the accessories that was discontinued, the mUPS, can help in this situation.

I really like Mikrotik as I run my Internet via a 24vdc with battery and Lvd and am able to power all the equipment I need.

How are you getting 3.7 volts? Most batteries are 12v or 6v.

The battery capacity that is advertised in mAh is tied to the nominal voltage. A typical power bank is made up of smaller cells that are 3.7V each.

Hey Mikrotik. I just want to give you a feedback on your videos. You did ~80% of things right - clean animations, nice backgrounds, no screaming, no bullshit. But the people you have in your videos to do a speaking is really bad. They are always emotionless, kind of scared to be on camera. Basic things you can do to improve watching experience: 1. Show people/items/products from different camera angles. Staring at one view gets boring quite fast. 2. Train your people that speak in front of the camera to have some sort of emotions. Or rather - don't use your introvert engineers for your videos. I would like to watch your videos, but I find them incredibly boring.

All our speakers are actual MikroTik employees which work on the products. They are not actors and therefore don’t have perfect speech, but they do know the thing they are explaining. Would you rather have a paid actor that just reads lines without understanding them?

@@mikrotik the content has to be entertaining, at least a bit. Let's brainstorm few other ideas: 1. Add some background music to match your video theme. 2. Invest in better audio microphones. 3. Train your employees to be more enthusiastic about the products you are presenting. It's understandable that you are defending your videos, but this is honeat feedback by your fan. And I've seen in other of your video comments that I am not the only one with such opinion. I am huge Mikrotik fan, but your videos are definitely not great.

@@criticalmoorhen @Sysdian I disagree! I'd rather listen to hardline engineers, and a lot more professionalism! kzbin.info/door/wFW0ZgZNcmZgAYN_zVxQ-Q This channel is for engineers! Instead, deeper technical content should be reinforced.

@@criticalmoorhen I'm a bit late to the discussion, but it could be cultural to the country (Latvia, I believe). Not that they are not enthusiastic about the products or the situation, but it's how they are. By the way I experienced the same situation while watching the PCC config video the other day. There are times I couldn't understand what he was saying due to the disconnect of emotions and the text being said. I have no clear purpose with my comment, just to mention that I with you on that and that I'm also with @mikrotik on not using actors who have no clue on what they are explaining. A bit naive to say the least but I myself would gladly re-record one or another video and my credentials is that I have 20+ years of IT Infrastructure and networking and I believe that I can communicate clearly. With that in mind, I believe Mikrotik could find "champions" (or better, "network (as in computer networks) influencers), which would be middle ground between someone skilled on networking and good at communicating, perhaps even presenting the videos together with the engineers, which would be awesome for any Mikrotik fan (like myself).
