vocaliod isnt a band, its the name of the voicebank software she is. Hatsune Miku and the other characters are just representations of the software. Miku is just the most popular vocaloid so she's kind of the official mascot of the vocaloid software brand. Also i think sulpting her hair was a smart move, its hard to get that anime look and volume with actual fibre so your worry over the hair worked out!

You made such a lovely doll, and don't feel too down about the hair! Honestly, Miku's hair varies depending on the costume or interpretation that I've seen it from pale blues to dark teals. I also wanted to let you know I found it very funny to watch the neck peg jiggle when you were dremeling the body.

When you use apoxie it is important to partly blend it in with the plastic that your not applying it to so that it won't fall off. Also its best to use sandpaper to smooth it out.

I doubt my comment will be seen but here’s some info about VOCALOID as a whole. *ahem* Vocaloid is not a band, multiple different companies make their own vocaloids including Yamaha, Sony, and of course crypton. I’m pretty sure it started in England with Lola and Leon. Eventually japan had its attempt with vocaloids including Meiko and Kaito. Crypton then bought them and eventually made Hatsune Miku. Before they were all just random stock images on boxes but for miku crypton wanted a cute virtual popstar and immediately she was a success. Crypton now has 6 different vocaloids. Their ‘popularity’ ranks is Miku, Rin and Len, Luka, Kaito, and Meiko. If you want my opinion Miku is the most promoted which is why the others don’t get known as much (I’m not crying you’re crying) but other than them there’s vocaloids from all over. So far there’s vocaloids from England, Spain, China, Korea, Sweden, and of course, Japan. I could of course be wrong and there’s lots more to go over but here’s a general long paragraph from a fan :,>

@vanessa banales an artist on Twitter drew Hatsune Miku as trans, in several stages of her transitioning. Someone replied to the artist, saying "Miku is not trans, stop". A popular Miku account (technically not her official Twitter but everyone's accepted this account as Miku) replied to the latter comment with "shut the up". Thus, Trans Rights Miku was born and had taken the internet by storm, especially in lgbtq spaces. Additionally, she's a fictional character with no confirmed traits other than being a girl and being eternally 16, so people are free to interpret her however they'd like!

Hi! I'm appearing as someone who has loved Vocaloid for a good 3 years. I do want to correct you that Vocaloid is NOT a band, it's a voice synthesizer program. So, to put it simply, she's a software. Same with other characters like Kagamine Rin & Len, Kaito, Meiko, and Megurine Luka to name a few. However there are a LOT more to choose from (my personal favorites being v flower, Fukase, Oliver, and Utatane Piko). In Vocaloid you're able to make these characters sing all kinds of songs in a bunch of different languages like English, Japanese, and Chinese. I think I remember hearing that there was gonna be a Vocaloid that sings in Tagalog but I'm not entirely sure. But, basically, you can make softwares sing. Not a band, a voice program. And a pretty expensive one at that. It's also not an anime either, despite the usual character designs having that kind of style. There are other vocal synths such UTAU, Synth V, etc. That's basically the general gist of it lol Also, good job on the figure!

I'm a big fan of vocaloid and usually not a fan of when people take articulated dolls and glue them in place, But WOW I love this so much! I love how the gold highlights in her eyes match the gold of the donut, and I think this could be a real look for a music video honestly! This was my favorite out of the entire collab, and I love how you painted her eyes, they really match her style!

Actually,Vocaloid is not a digital band,It's a voice synthesyser program that people can use to make songs without actually having to sing the song themselves. There are a bunch of different voices you can use called voicebanks. Behind the voicebanks(aside from a few) there are character mascots. The Vocaloids Hatsune Miku,Kagamine Len,Kagamine Rin,Megurine Luka,Kaito,Meiko,Gumi and Gakupo seem to be the most popular but there are a LOT more Vocaloids. But the doll was still totally awesome!

Pretty disappointed when you decided to abandon the racing design... All Mikus have a nice concept and awesome fashion design... you butchered the whole vocaloid legacy by just doing whatever you wanted without putting any thought into it If you don’t believe in yourself, I do. You’re still capable of making that awesome racing version, please don’t give up.

Thanks for the supporting words hun. I wouldve stuck with the design if I had been accordingly prepared and ordered the right color shade in time. It's still an adorable design and I might try to recreate it in the future! But I'm a little perfectionist in some areas and having the wrong shade wouldve bothered me lol. Uhh, I know you mean well, but the whole POINT of VOCALOID is original creation(AKA, doing whatever you want regardless of thought--which, just so you know, is how a lot of wonderful things come to fruition). Miku, as most of the character voice banks, is more or less a template for you to build off of. She can be whatever, whoever; she can look like anything, wear anything, sing anything and be anyone! The only limit is the imagination of the person behind the wheel, so to speak. Doll Mill's design turned out lovely, I think, and just because she came up with it as it she went doesn't invalidate it's creation. I would also like to see a Racing Miku doll, personally, but I still am super in love with this pink-pop look she's created.

Kind of rude wording :( Doll customizing is difficult (especially when you’re improvising!) even for experienced customizers, sometimes things don’t go as expected but it’s awesome to see how things turn out in the end either way. I think the intended version would’ve looked cool, but this one was special and beautiful as well :) Lots of love to you dollmill from a huge vocaloid fan, the fact you made a design this pretty without planning is impressive 💗

Personally I LOVE the kagamine twins Len and Rin! But I've been a fan of miku and the gang since I was little and this is honestly the most beautiful MIKU doll I've seen!!!
