"Got to Be Certain" was not written especially for Kylie; it was first recorded by singer and PWL stablemate Mandy Smith for her debut album Mandy which was also produced by Stock Aitken Waterman." They had a lot of singers before Kylie including Hazel Dean who had songs that Kylie later sung. They just capitalised on the popularity of Kylie Minogue coming from TV Soap "Neighbours" which made the songs more popular.

Her songs never charted because she was virtually blacklisted by mainstream media due to being groomed by a 50 year old when she was a teenager, this is also why you dont see ant TOTP performances. Its tragic because she was a good artist and far better looking than mid kylie, she deserved to be more successful .
