Fun fact about that LG Washing machine using 3.6GB of Data, LG recently put a clause in their contracts that says they can mine and extract ALL your personal information to sell to advertisers. Not just how often the machine runs or anything like that, nah, they straightup spy on you through your entire network, check what internet traffic is happening etcetera, profile your time spent at home based on what devices are logged into your Wifi and then uploads THAT too. All for the privilege of overpaying for a washing machine that could've run on simple electrical engineering, but no, it had to be a trojan horse mining sweet sweet personal information for the company on top of things. For folks that are immunocompromised or part of a higher risk group the risk of serious infection is greater. All ya have to do to stay safe is be vigilant in areas ticks like to be. Avoid surrounding yourself in tall grass and really thick woods. If you can't see through the thicket, it's best to find another path! @scragar5 ай бұрын
The acid doesn't make the chocolate last longer, it's used to sterilise sour milk so you can safely use the milk fat in chocolate. Hershys does that because it's way cheaper to buy sour milk(which no one wants and would go to waste otherwise) than fresh milk. Other companies have done similar before and after Hershey's started, but they used more expensive refinement processes and different acids to ensure the acid is completely removed after killing any bacteria.

In the UK an item must be at a higher price for a certain time before a sale reduces it. What happens is that a month before the sale the price of the item goes up, drops for the sale, and then carries on at the sale price, which was its original price, but without the On Sale sticker. Remember, even if it's the same price as it was previously, it's a bargain if it has an On Sale sticker on it.

Its also found in spoiled milk, which is where it originally came from! The first American chocolate makers made it in a way that spoiled the milk. Now, most Americans are so used to it, European chocolate makers have to add it to the chocolate they sell in America or else they get considerably less sales.
@mdt1054 ай бұрын
It's not an ingredient, it's a product of the way they process the milk. Milk used in milk chocolate can still go sour even when it's inside the chocolate, which is why historically milk chocolate was an incredibly expensive luxury item with a very short shelf life; you had to eat it before the milk went off. However, you can process the chocolate to stop this from happening. Generally speaking, whoever worked out a way to do so ended up being the biggest mass market chocolate manufacturer in their country; Cadbury was the guy who worked it out in the UK, for example, and Hershy in the US. It just so happens that the process Hershy came up with produced butyric acid as a byproduct. People still bought it because back in the day it was still fantastic and very cheap chocolate compared to the available alternatives, and by the time alternative processes that didn't create butyric acid were available, the distinctive taste was what chocolate in the US was expected to taste like. To everybody else it tastes like vomit because butyric acid has a very strong taste, and generally it's one you only experience after being sick.

We have good chocolate in the US. We just don't export any of it. Some of the good stuff is regional and some of it is local. Hershey's is just the only chocolate company scaled up big enough to be everywhere. Most of us are aware that it sucks and people who are into real chocolate avoid it.

Milk is a common staple for American lunch where you can get plain, chocolate, or strawberry. And it’s thanks to the “Got Milk?” situation where it was STRONGLY believed to be amazingly healthy for you. I liked it back in the day, but in high school I had to make sure they weren’t expired 😐

However, considering many vegan activists don't know how ecology works, or willfully ignore it (like how invasive species work), I don't know if they'll catch on. but sometimes, evil knows no bounds.

The GP experience is a canon event everybody needs to experience to learn the word patience. But right when I turned 18 I had to phone up for an appointment due to severe back pain and they gave me an appointment from an hour after the call because they were worried (I was shocked ngl that a GP was worried about me 😂). I sat in the waiting room, expecting to wait for and hour or 2 in agony just to then hear my GP call me 5 minutes after I sat down. I was very surprised and my family said for now on I'm gonna be booking the appointments cause I'm the 'lucky one'. If you're wondering it turns out I had sacroiliatis and they were worried I was becoming paralysed and if I required emergency surgery. I was just on the verge of that scenario but I got my medicine for it

@TheGhostAvatar5 ай бұрын
1:10 Nope, not illegal, even in the UK. Its not a was price, its typical price. Which is like RRP in the UK. So what they are advertising is X% off the RRP, not a saving of X% on a previous price. Its misleading, especially for someone who just briefly looks at the pricing. But not illegal in itself. Where they could get in trouble is establishing the RRP. For example "The fact that an RRP was recommended by the manufacturer is not in itself sufficient to demonstrate that this is the price that consumers will generally have to pay"

If you are already on holiday, you're probably getting up early anyway, so there literally isn't any issue here. The only people that would complain here are those that are sleeping in anyways, so therefore do not need chairs.
