I agree that first one is very much infuriating. I lost my dad to cancer when I was eight so I feel for them. Like they’re about to lose a loved one and the team thinks the solution is to make their situation even worse? Imagine losing your job because of a situation that was completely out of your control...that just doesn’t sit right. And hate to say this, but it says a lot about society
@Joshua-br7mc2 жыл бұрын
I worked for a family run business and my auntie was diagnosed cancer then later passed… I had like 40 missed calls from my mum, who was also devastated… I then got fired for using my phone during work time because I wouldn’t have known about my auntie if I wasn’t on my phone… they also said it was only my auntie so it shouldn’t affect me… work can be shite EDIT, thanks for the kind words… I work some where I actually enjoy now so I consider a blessing in disguise. @@prinsarnaproduction1133I did some research. The homeless shelter to be built in san francisco would've had 200 beds in, so it would've helped around that many people (keep in mind theres around 8000 homeless people in the city). The money was raised by not a single house owner either, but rather the neighbourhood's residents. You made up a bunch of shit from absolutely nothing to defend some rich people, who, according to you, can afford a 1.8 million dollar house, so are quite well off in life. You should reflect on yourself if you genuinely believe that a handful of people who are already rich losing some money is more important than getting 200 homeless people off the streets.

I sympathise with the guy that got his game stolen since it happened to me before when I was a kid, I rarely actually got to play arcade games so I was really excited to actually play one when my parents gave me money to, I chose star wars podracing but it was one of those dual machines, so I pop the money in, but it activates on the other screen, and before I get the chance to switch seats, some older kid comes over and refuses to get off it because he "found it" like he didn't just watch me put the money in. The guy was a psycho and just played through me, my sister, and some other kids all yell at him to get off the game. However, this caused so much of a commotion that the psycho kid's grandfather came over and saw what had happened, he was nice enough to apologize, give me the money so that I could have a game, and then we all got to hear this kid get torn into by his grandad for being a spoiled brat. I remember growing up you'd get some real pikey kids like that in arcades and amusements, especially they'd hang around 2p machines waiting for coins to drop on their own, but often if they were playing next to you, you'd have to be really careful since they'd often scoop 2ps from your machine when you weren't looking.

George, I used to live in a homeless shelter and, not to sound like a Tory but there is a downside to one being built To stress, I was in a homeless shelter for people aged 18-25 so this made the issue worse in a sense, but obviously you have young, homeless people, pretty much none of us were mentally healthy, and almost all the residents did a wide variety of drugs and were alcoholics. We got so many complaints at one point that word was going around the building would be shut down, which was made worse by this was not the first time it happened, and one day that straw will break the camels back. The constant raves, the littering, destruction of property, bad people in the area, everyone in the street hated us all and just put in complaint after complaint (rightly so). It just sucked and was terrifying for people like me, who were good, never made noise, never disturbed anyone, also when I got put into the homeless shelter I was 23, and again, not to sound like a Tory, but being a male in my mid 20's, that was my last shot, even that homeless shelter I had to fight for, no one would help me, I even got told by police, if I was younger, female, and/or with a child it'd be different, but there just wasn't support for me. So potentially being made homeless and having no options left cause of others behaviour? It was terrifying. Obviously there are so many positives to building homeless shelters and housing people, but as someone who lived in one, it does bring bad with it due to the people who live in them, and that can bring down the property surrounding it (not a fair reason, but it's what rich people will care about)
