I was at Birdland NY Jan 3, 1959 (crew on a Norwegian freighter). One of my great experiences!

With is extraordinary ability to solo, Miles hits the listener's musical sensitivities down to and through the bone. During this period of his career, there were none challenging his mastery of the genre of jazz music. A phenominal musician he was, up and down, in and out.

Timeless!!!!! Superb! All of the above! This kind of bubbly jazz Music speaks to me. At age 73 I get this. Finally! My dad 'd be proud. He used to sit and listen to jazz lps after a hard day's work as a painting contractor in anno 1960. Okay, thank god this music is not at a faster tempo! Otherwise you would not see me writing this! For ex. at about 13 min. into the spiel there is so much humor . I would listen to this after a day's who knows 'what customers.
