It's a cross culture thing. It IS devil horns from Rock/Metal, it IS ILY in sign-language, and in Japan that hand gesture is also used meaninglessly as a "cool" or "dark" pose. No real meaning, just "it's a cool pose". There is another use of that exact hand gesture in Japan called "Rumic Sign" which is, "a stylistic choice to make what should be a painful scene look less painful and make it feel like the character who got hurt isn't as badly hurt as he should be" Obviously it isn't that one in her case. It's the first three all at once, which matches her entirely, Metal (horns) + Idol and she's Elphelt (ILY) + "That" Girl (meaningless attention grabbing pose).

I love Elphelt, sure, my favourite input ever (her shotgun loops, specifically the reloading) is gone but then again I don't play lever anymore either; it's fine. Guns 'n Roses was the first album I bought whilst BabyMetal is the most recent concert I've visited, she keeps being analogous to my playlist and I'm all for it! Also, they fixed the one qualm I had with her design, them huge knockers; like damn she's been eating well, thick thighs save lifes or something, right? As a lighter GG fan, I didn't understand the dislike of the new Elphelt. She looks cool w/ short hair. Her quirky personality is still there. She has this new screamo gimmick. I thought people would like it, but the problem was comparing her to the old Elphelt. Maybe they should have just made a new character instead. Elphelt kinda Ino-esque "personalty" quirks were kinda completely muddled over instead of enhanced like Ram or, again, Ino. I think people will grow to like her though.
