For those who just can’t get into it.. This is what most people’s experience of the series is like. It can be kinda daunting but most don’t give it enough time. You have to learn the system mechanics and the usage/utility of the items and how to combine them to make better ones. You also have to get into the gameplay loop (eating, tracking, fighting, chasing, slaying, capturing, carving, crafting, etc.) and then you have to find the weapon(s) that grabs you and try to learn some other ones as well. The first few quests are often a bit simple and can be somewhat boring but once you start getting the hang of the controls and taking on the large monsters it might not be long before it hooks you in like a slinger. You have to learn quick that it’s not a button masher tho and that you have to fight in spots, especially if going it solo. Sometimes running is the better option. Hope anyone who may read this will understand to give the game the proper patience before writing it off as simply not for you. It’s worth the wait

Mh3u was my first MH game. I was swimming around exploring the map for the first time when I came across Lagiacrus for the first time. It scared the crap out of me, and I stopped playing until about ten years later when I picked up World. It hooked me so badly, I have more hours in that game than any other. I think the new games are a lot more beginner friendly so I'm excited to see if this one will bring in many new MH fans! (I've since gone back and played mh3u, mh4u, gen u, and rise)

I feel like one of the frustrating parts of starting any monster hunter game is how you start on yellow sharpness and you bounce on EVERYTHING, it's a necessary learning curve to show the importance and mechanics of sharpness but as a player who doesn't know that, it's just really frustrating. Not sure if the newer games have that problem

This speaks to me. I played through 4U and didn’t quite ‘get it’. Bought Gen and whilst fighting Astalos, everything suddenly clicked. Now I have 10000 hours in the franchise it seems like 😂😂😂

Wilds' new monsters have been a big step up from World's IMO. Love how gnarly and weird most of them look, and the variety here is so much better. We're not just fighting dinosaurs and dragons this time around.

tbf until World; every new generation added at least two new classifications 2nd Gen: Fanged Beast (originally known as Pelagus), and Carapaceon 3rd Gen: Leviathan, Brute Wyvern, and Fanged Wyvern 4th Gen: Temnoceron, Amphibian, and Snake Wyvern 5th Gen had no new classes because they spent too much time bringing the old stuff into the modern graphics, with Rise bringing the Leviathans, Temnocerons, Amphibians and Carapaceons into the 5th Gen The 6th Gen is almost 100% creating a new monster class; the proof is that the Black Flame is described as the Oilwell Basin's Apex Predator and thus part of a food chain; as such it cannot be an elder dragon as they are considered separate from the natural food chain (as very few ecosystems can physically handle their vast energy requirements and destructive tendencies) so it is either ??? or a new monster class entirely Looking forward to seeing what they go with!

It’s most likely because of this area being so hidden/forbidden is because of of the life being trapped in the past evolving to be more gnarly and alien in design to suit their unique(very prehistoric)environment. Just imagine if skull island was real; thats what the “Forbidden Lands” is.

Okay I was already super impressed and hype.. and then I watched that latest trailer and I'm just shaking my head. Holy hell, the imagination from the creative team is out of this world! I've seen so many speculations and fan renders of what these monsters would look like based on the armor sets we've seen... and every time when the actual designs are revealed, it just exceeds all those designs and expectations! WOW!

They don't get 3 extra days, their date is just earlier, they actually have the same amount, from October 28 to 30 is just 2 days, while the date for everyone else is from October 31 to November 3rd which are actually 3 days, so we actually get more Beta
