Maybe its because I grew up playing Street Fighter 2 Turbo on the SNES, but I like the quick and (arguably) unbalanced gameplay of USF2. It's like one false move and its game over in 20 seconds, lol. I had to learn the hard way as a kid when I was getting my ass handed to me by my big bros when playing SF2 Turbo!

Capcom really did an amazing job on this game. They do pretty much everything great, and have been since there were arcade machines in every pizza, deli, comic book spot, and corner in Manhattan. I remember standing on a milk crate whopping older guys asses, the tables have turned, even though it's similar in looks, and basic moves. The fundamentals feel different, maybe I've gotten used to Tekken style fighting games, or I don't have nearly as much free time, but I don't dominate at all anymore. I love that Madden is played on the huge screen in times square, GT5 produces actual racers, and Street Fighter tournaments are televised. I just wish I was born in 2000, instead of 1980. My love of gaming was seen as a detriment to my education by my folks, and I even hid the extent of my gaming from my piers or I'd of been a virgin until college. Culture has shifted in a good way, it's ok to enjoy video games, and most importantly it's good to have an aptitude for math, or science. Kids aren't ostracized for being smart anymore, that gives me so much hope for the future. Apologies for the rant, good video, liked, and subbed.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers are one of those games that brought new characters into old games and put an emphasis on "the new outdoes the old." You can really see the difference when you play Shin Akuma because my goodness his red fireball eats away more than half of your health!

I may get hated for saying this, but one thing that is so captivating to me (no pun intended) about SF 5 is the resemblance to the SF2 series in regards to how quick and seriously you can damage your opponent if you connect with consistent combos and specials. I can still get that fast-pace feel from SF 5 that I would get from SF2, only not as intense.

Fuckin' loved how you went all in on that first Sagat. I always love to see a nice comeback via that sudden round-ending throw outta nowhere. I think you actually intimidated him out of pressuring you with Tiger Shots, which led to him whiffing that super that would have otherwise saved him. Love how you punished that Vegeta Akuma, too. Despite your "fair and balanced" joke, I find the high stakes punishment aspects like that to be absolutely thrilling, at least as a spectator. At the same time, it looks like I actually wanna pick this one up and play it, too. Because it's so quick and intense, even the failures would be satisfying for me, from a "learn a lesson" perspective. I honestly like the intensity of this one. It definitely shouldn't be the new standard for the classic style games, but it's got its own merits for sure. I'd like to see what a really good Zangief or Dee Jay player could do with this. I'd love to see you give either one a shot, Max!

This is a game that calls for viable combo-breakers, and giving each character a viable way to counter projectiles and uppercuts. Perhaps each character (except Ken/Ryu/Akuma and their endless clones and variants) should get a move that allows them to reduce or outright nullify damage.

what about E. Honda? His hundred hand slap was too hard for me to stop back when I was a noob lol. But Honda was honestly significantly better in this game than he was in SFIV. I thought Guile was pretty weak but that's just me. This was when I was just a kid and didn't know much about fighting games. Oh yeah and what about Sagat. Sagat can do almost everything Guile can do in SFII except better and it does more damage. Almost beat the 100 man gauntlet in GBA SFII Turbo Revival just throwing fireballs with Sagat lol.
