see that is the CRAZY thing... MARVEL/DISNEY is in a f'ng phenomenal position right now.. they have Marvel, Star Wars, Predator and Aliens probably a few more I can't think of atm as this has been bugging me since late last year. They could literally and figuratively rival SMASH and it wouldn't even be hard as they own all the licenses... can just have Predator fighting Wolverine, Luke Skywalker fighting Vergil, Venom and Carnage fighting Xenomorphs I've been thinking of it more as a gatcha game but it could also work as a fighting game, especially if MVC is really stuck behind a licensing/rights hell then why don't they just create a whole new game that takes inspiration from MVC but also brawler games though to get a bigger audience it will probably draw more from MVC side of things in terms of how the combat would work and flow

Swords and guns definitely wasn’t why. Capcom until 2023 has had a long history of not wanting dark skinned characters in their games. With Storm they kind of had to because she was a core Xmen character.

"Blade is too similar to Dante". Also UMVC3 has three Shotos (Ryu, Morrigan, and Akuma), Wolverine, and X-23, Dante, and Vergil, But having one more sword, and guns character is too much. If Capcom is going to use the "We have too many of this character archetype) Why have Ryu when Akuma works better in a VS game?

1:39 " This game has come a long way" The thing that impresses me more is the fact how modders have made these fighting games more fun. Take MUGEN, Just take random Sprites ripped and slapped into the game, Than actual people recoloring those sprites to actually making custom new ones. Now take games like this. where those motors have actually put time and effort to making these models making. the animations event getting voices to these characters It just shows how much love and compassion people have put into these kind of games or the years. That's why when I hear people saying set game "has become a long way " I have nothing but respect to modders.

Shocker is big enough to have had an arc in the Spiderman game based off Raimi 1, get TWO fights I believe in Insomniac 1, be a tutorial fight in Ultimate Spiderman, and some other appearances. He's decently high in the C Lister Club.

I'd say he's B list. He's never going to be the main antagonist, but he's had pretty solid representation in pretty much every Spidey show or game since the 90s. He's the go-to jobber Spider-Man villain at this point.

@@DarkOverlord96 I mean to be honest reusing assets isn't a bad idea. What Infinite did was try and make them Realistic/MCU style which is what ruined the style and graphics. As well as just reusing only half of Ultimates roster.

@@GilbertojrZ7 well for mods it's probably the rarest of 3 games to get models used. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and Marvel Future Fight get their designs used a lot however on occasions they use MCOC models for mods of games and stuff

The fact that the first guy Darkstalker to grace MvC was Jedah is a crime enough. I like Jedah, but we couldn't have given that honor to Dimitri, Talbain, or Lord Raptor? Come on. I really love how Talbain turned out. Only issue I have they can fix is his voice once he does his Dragon Cannon. Also I'm not sure if the modder knew about Talbain's Razor Slice but in the PSP game once he does multiple illusion move Talbain alternate Razor Slice.

Captain Commando is apart of the Street Fighter universe taking place in a futuristic Metro City, and Ginzu is a Bushinryu Ninja. I think the reason why they didn't bring him back was the same reason why they didn't brink back, Jin, Hayato, Amingo, and Ruby Heart. They where more interested in using characters from more modern franchises like DMC, and RE which is why a good chunk of the Capcom roster in MVC3 is basically DMC, RE, and SF with a few Mega Man, Darkstalkers, and Clover characters.

Blade uses some form of fencing or Chinese sword fighting like in the first movie and he uses a precision slug shotgun to pierce vampires hearts, a severing boomerang like weapon and metal sticks with pointed ends. The dev should use some form of Shotokan for his normal if they want a reference maybe have a mix of Akuma, Wesker and Deapool, for his special moves I would make his shotgun a command grab like Spencer or Hulk his boomerang and sticks zoning tools like Arthur and his sword a mix up tool like Wolverine's bezerker slash or Vergil's rapid slash. Also to add he gets ampt up when he drinks blood and his abilities and strength are greater then usual maybe it could be represented in an instal super.

If you grew up watching the ‘90s Spider-Man cartoon I think Shocker is probably seen as one of the bigger Spider-Man villains, and becomes of that cartoon is one of the more well known Spider-Man villains, and just Marvel villains in general.

Ken they can just reuse voice lines from SF4 or SF5, not sure why they haven't done so at this point (especially since Sakura's got her SF4 voice). With Batsu his Tatsunoko lines fit well. Main reason why Captain Commando was redubbed was because his og lines were from a game where they sound compressed. Really only reason to get new Batsu lines is if people want him in English.

Blade and Jon Talbain. One is a vampire, the other is a werewolf. And, if there's one thing I've learned from watching movies, is that vampires and werewolfs ain't the so called "friendly neighbors" to each other. lol By the way, if Batsu is getting updates, can the mods include Hinata and Kyosuke as assists? As in, a party up technique move (Project Justice reference)? That'd be neat.

Blade is a dhampir(Half human half vampire hybrid.) Blade also hates vampires, so I would assume he would have no problem of calling up Talbain the friendly neighborhood werewolf for some moonlight stake action. And I ain't talking about ribeye.😉

Why was it impossible to import them? They got animations from Smash and Infinite working in here, so what’s the difference? Hopefully someone can figure that issue out eventually. It was impossible to import any animations at one point before someone figured it out.

Shocker's like a C + List Character. To put it another way, the point of that scene where Spiderman's yelling at the top of his lungs is that you're not supposed to get that mad during a fight with /just/ The Shocker. It's like Batman going I'm gonna fucking kill you Killer Moth. Come on. He's just some guy doing slightly above street level crimes. You don't need to take it personally. It's the symbiote making you crazy!

Fun fact for those who didn’t catch it. The designs for both Blade & Shocker are taken directly from the mobile fighting game “Marvel Contest of Champions”. Even Shocker’s gauntlets and some of his moves are the same as they are in that game. Now, I’m not complaining at all but I think the modders (which if whom are doing God’s work btw) need to tread lightly with these two. Marvel may come after them or even MCOC’s developers “Kabam”. I hope not and maybe I am way off but I just want to bring this to the table so parties involved are aware if they weren’t already :)

7:10 Damn I miss Darkstalkers, that game was ahead of its time and deserves more love than it gets. I'm Happ when I see stuff like this, they're still alive, and maybe someday soon Capcom will have some wiggle room between Street Fighter and Resident Evil long enough to get some people working on the return 😎

I kind of can’t believe Capcom never worked something out with Marvel Games to add more characters to Marvel vs Capcom 3 when they reworked the deal to get it on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. Especially since, I think Combofiend has been working at Marvel Games for like the past eight years or something.

The current roster of this game is godlike wtf 😱 If they ever make a Marvel 4…we desperately need it 😔 But s/o to all the modders for this game, seeing it at EVO last year was a dream I’m glad I lived to see!
