The best and most convincing demo of Echosystem for synths in the internet! Now I know what to buy :)

Thanks Sergei! You can't go wrong, between Echosystem and Polymoon they are my two fave delays. Stay tuned for my video on Walrus LORE delay/reverb coming this week!

By far the best Demo for me dude, currently using a Chase Bliss Mood for textures, but this seems to be a level up. Cheers

Thanks so much! If you haven't already, check out my video on the Meris LVX. Between the Echosystem and the LVX those are imho the two greatest delay pedals ever made.

Outstanding demonstration! I have the Moog DFAM and I’ve been looking for some sort of delay/effects unit to flesh it out and beef it up a bit. When I first saw this, I thought it was overkill, but your video makes me think that it might be worth the money and will add a completely new dimension to the DFAM. I like the idea of essentially looping it to escape that eight step sequencer limitation. Thanks for taking the time to post this!

Glad I could help! It really is amazing with synths. I would suggest you also look up my new video on the Meris LVX delay, it's similar price and amazing also for synths

Question for you Miles, as your sub37 is mono, you plug a mono cable in mono input and run 2 mono cables from output of the echosystem to change the signal in stereo?!
@MilesAwayOfficial3 ай бұрын
yep exactly! Most pedals do mono in if you plug in the L input

Do you prefer this pedal over the timeline? What differences do you hear?
@MilesAwayOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Both are absolutely great and you cannot go wrong but for my taste the bigger emphasis on the dual engines for every single algorithm on the Echosystem makes it win out for me. Also I prefer the sound of the tape and analogue delays on the echo, and use those more! For a third option check out the video I just posted on the Meris polymoon. It is absolutely spectacular

Thanks a lot for this review, sounds awesome @11'53 in dual mode. Do you plan to test the strymon timeline also ? Would be curious to hear it on synths : ) Best from France
@MilesAwayOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed! It’s a great pedal. I thought about including the timeline in my Delay video but it didn’t make the final cut as I focused on some more unique and newer pedals. Think you will love the selection :) it’s a great one for synths though

Which other delay pedals did you order? I'm currently thinking of buying the Echosystem, but also would want to wait for your comparison video.
@MilesAwayOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Definitely wait if you can! I’ve got the Meris Polymoon, Chase Bliss MOOD, DBA Echodream 2, Fairfield Meet Maude all on the way. Some shipping delays but the video will likely go live early February. It’s gonna be my biggest video yet

LVX or Echosystem? Leaning towards LVX since it can go deeper, real 5 pin midi, and has more custom options to make your own sound. But damn do the Empress pedals sound amazing in your videos. Add in the H90 and we are so blessed to have so many amazing albeit expensive options. That perfect sound we all lust after is never cheap.
@MilesAwayOfficial Жыл бұрын
Honestly such a tough call, as I'm a huge Empress fan and this pedal is all most people would ever need. But the LVX is no joke my favourite pedal ever. Did you see my video on it? It's the ultimate delay as far as I am concerned, and does so much more as well, and the workflow is just the best.
@ftlaud911 Жыл бұрын
@@MilesAwayOfficial - Thanks for responding. Love the channel. Watched the videos multiple times to try and not be bias. No clear winner, but LVX has more custom options to shape the sound. The Empress is great, but your sort of stuck with preset algorithm tweaking imho. The engine options pull it back into the race otherwise the LVX wins. I currently have a Specular Tempus and while no slouch I can't help but wonder if I shouldn't have gotten seperate reverb/delay pedals. It did allow me to experiement and learn I like reverb, but love delay. So Empress Reverb/Echosystem combo, LVX/Empress Reverb (great reverb shootout by the way), or go nuts with LVX/H90. H90 allows two stereo inputs/outputs which is a very nice option for dual synth jams. Experimenting is part of the journey, but would rather not have to buy/sell so many expensive options. Going to think more before I jump, but your opinion is greatly appreciated since you spent time with both. All pedals are great during the honeymoon phase. Thanks again!!

Wonderful video - thanks so much for putting it together! This pedal sounds absolutely fantastic. Just a question... how do you manage to remember what effect Thing 1 and Thing 2 have on each algorithm, especially since there are multiple algorithms per delay type? Do you feel the need to keep referring back to the user manual (who wants to do that?!) or can you figure it out quickly with trial and error?
@MilesAwayOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! Good question: for thing 1 and 2, I just memorize for my fave modes what they do, but for most of the non-weird delays it usually does follow a fairly logical process where 1 knob is some form of modulation "amount" and the other is the "rate". Of course for the weird modes that doesn't apply at all and you just figure it out by trial and error - that's part of the fun!
