I was skeptic at first on what could this pedals do to actually add value to your composition, but you proved my doubt was out of place. No surprise with GenLoss mk2, but the other two really added a lot to the music, nicely done.

@@MilesAwayOfficial I just got a used Gen Loss MK2 on Reverb! Have you had issues with the latency problem people are chatting about? I think it has to do with the wet dry mix setting?
@MilesAwayOfficial Жыл бұрын
@@kitespongan no, update to the newest firmware and it’s negligible. It just creates a bit of chorusing if you use it in dry/wet split mode, which is a cool effect, that is how I get the chorusing sound in this video!

Is the synth going straight into the ACS1? No need to reamp? I was looking information about line in - input in ACS1, so this video is very usefull. Thanks . ACS1 looks like the most interesting ampcabsim to buy. Simple, good and stereo at both sides.

Thanks for your video, I've been looking for weeks on the net for a stereo pedal with amp emulation to connect to my keyboard, it's a Roland VR-09 to play Blues, Soul, funky... and I'm setting up the lightest possible equipment to get a more vintage sound for electric pianos, clavinets and Hammond for gigs. I think this pedal could meet my needs but I can't find any video or test about it with keyboards except this video you have made so well explained. I will try the plugins you propose to get an idea as I have not found any video about it with more vintage sounds. THANK YOU
@MilesAwayOfficial10 ай бұрын
Hey Andre! I haven't played the VR-09, but from running other Synth/Line Level instruments through Amp Sim Pedals the Walrus ACS1 is by far my favourite because of the feature I show here to run a different amp and cab combo on each side. That's incredibly cool and powerful, and if you like stereo, I highly recommend getting one. If you don't need that level of stereo I've heard good things about the UA pedals, but they are only 1 amp each, so not as good of a deal.
@andreumurillo533010 ай бұрын
@@MilesAwayOfficial Thanks for the answer, I will look into those pedals you mention. It's clear from the reviews I've seen that the WALRUS ACS1 is my holy grail, AND YOUR DEMO IS AWESOME. THANK YOU!!!

@@MilesAwayOfficial Thanks for your reply, mate! I have seen most of your vids, but I will check. That said, I especially liked the "out of the box" aspect of this demo - a bit like those beloved "How to be advanced" excursions into the pedal wild by @cyberattack… for keyboards. The miso spread you did with the Gen Loss Mk2 seems like a wonderful way to make the Prophet 10 stereo, innit!? Thanks for the inspiration! Would love to have more of this. Keep on groovin', bro!

The sidechain on the ACS1 jam was too much for me, but by that point I'd heard its tone. Any suggestions for a pedal that generates subharmonics layered with the audio? I know there are plug-ins, and sub-oscs on synths, but I'm sure there must be an fx pedal that sounds good, too...
@MilesAwayOfficial Жыл бұрын
Haha I am a sidechain addict. But great point about the sub - freq pedal! I would love to know if there was a clean and accurate pedal that did that. In the daw I always just layer a sine with the same midi under, but there would definitely be great use for a pedal

@@MilesAwayOfficialDOD meatbox and the Mantic Hulk. Lots of music history behind the meatbox. Both earthshaking pedals for bass guitar or synths for subharmonics. Fun tip. Put your light box on top of a subwoofer to reverberate the spring to your bass/kick.

it would actually be a huge amount of $ work to emulate what the ACS1 is doing, its emulating 2 pairs of separate amps and cabs running in stereo, and being able to switch between em

I think you are misunderstanding how a mono in stereo out effect works. Listen on good headphones. The different amp and cab sim models create a stereo sound out of a mono source.
