Most women start off as Sopranos when they are girls/adolescents As she grew older it became evident that she was a Mezzo-Soprano however you're right, now it's hard to tell if the Mezzo qualities we heard were due to her habits or not.

AMAZING video but I have a few things I want to point out- 1. There is no C2 in this video. 2. All the ‘G5s’ are actually all G#5. 3. The note in drive live in Vancouver was actually an Eb5 (one of her best attempts too) 4. She has like 4 or 5 A5 belts which weren’t included here. 5. You should use vocals from Gypsy heart tour and vocals from rehearsals (such as vocals in rehearsals shown in MTVs Documentary “Miley The Movement”) as it gives an inner look to her vocals when not on stage and a look at her knowledge of her own voice. 6. She has a lot of F#5s too which that note hasn’t been included here either. Anyways amazing video you have clearly took a lot of time making this! (Can I get a pin?)

Nonetheless, with the vocal change not being a natural progression and due to vocal damage (caused by habits in her case) I wonder if she would truly count as a Contralto. Eg. Is Mariah (Plus Whitney) a Mezzo-Soprano because her tessitura (& timbre) have changed.
