Beyond magnificent. New Zealand has to be the most visually beautiful country in the world.

Love Milford Sound. Such an awe-inspiring place. The water is murky because of all the rainfall washing over the trees and plant-life which releases the tannins and creates something like tea.

Love the Restaurant, great atmosphere and food. Lake Te Anau is a good choice to stay as you then don't have to hurry and have the long drive back up to Queenstown. Many tourists underestimate the length of the day to do this whether by coach tour or self drive.

I'm supposed to be painting my house but got stuck watching your expressions of pleasure, great to watch, Milford is so Jurassic Parky, you can just imagine some creature coming out of the mist or breaching the waters, enjoy everyone, what a thrill to do with people you love😊

Hi Team, just discovered you guys and thoroughly enjoying them. Born and raised in NZ and I'm 22:35 in and you are playing the New Zealand slang game where you have to guess what it means. I couldn't understand what Mum was saying when she said "crikey dick" with a 'short vowel sound' and initially thought I had never heard of the saying before. Then I realised, she meant Crikey Dick with a long 'I' vowel as in crykey dick. Made me laugh. Enjoy the rest of Aotearoa Team. Kia Kaha 🙂

I'm in my 60's. Crikey Dick (Cry-key dick) is from the generations before mine. Probably a lot of Kiwis who have never heard that said in normal usage. No idea where it came from. Doing the ton is also an old saying. In my younger days "doing the ton" meant doing 100mph in your car. More common usage today would be to hear someone talking about a "ton of something" which means a lot of something. I have tons of carrots in the garden etc. Again though, quite an older expression I think, although I might still use it as a 60+ year old person. Enjoy your trip
@MarkMcLT8 күн бұрын
I'm 62. Though perhaps used less by youngsters, crikey dick is certainly still part of the culture and well understood. I used to own a boat called Crikey Dick.
@CreedBrattonTheOffice9 күн бұрын
As a Kiwi of 32 years. Can't say I've heard of either of those "Kiwi" terms lol. First one sounded like it should've been Crikey which is Australian (famously said a lot by Steve Irwin). Don't know what the dick's about though lol.

@ My brain is 70+ years old and has been properly used. I have full understanding of how people are sucked into cults and regurgitate nonsense posing as fact. But hey, keep believing what you want, but don't try to push your agenda on others who want nothing to do with it. Religious claptrap is behind most of the atrocities in the world, especially by the fundamentalists like yourself. So...mind your own business and let others get on with theirs. Your diatribe makes no sense at all.
