We usually see them as an overly violent, hypocritical jerk, but at the end we see them acting a lot more compassionate to Fuuta, comforting him while he’s breaking down and even questioning their own actions and their distance from the prisoners. Then the bell rolls and we see Es revert back to their more apathetic sate and contradict all they’ve said. Acting in a mean, harsher tone and causing Fuuta to have a breakdown despite just comforting him before. I’ve also noticed this alot in other VDs, how when the bell rolls Es completely changes personality. I genuinely feel that Es isn’t that mean person we often see at heart. And their moments of sympathy are their true, past self showing. But having their memories wiped and forced into the role of a prison guard is highlighting their violent and uncaring tendencies more. Not much of a theorizer myself, but I think it’s worth pointing out the big connection between Fuuta now/here and Bring It On. For example, in Bring It On, he sings “I won’t stop until you say you’re sorry”, but even after he apologizes here, Es ‘doesn’t stop’. “All evil hypocrites should disappear”: he now sees Es as the hypocrite who refuses to accept his apology even though they’ve committed the same sort of sin. There is also a clear similarity in design between the boss Fuuta defeats and the graffiti representing the girl he killed. The other thing I can think of is that in the last chorus, Fuuta switches from calling himself a hero to an “undead hero”, which might mean nothing, but could also be worth seeing in a new light following Yuno’s “Am I really alive?” Thank you for watching!

I can’t prove it but I have a feeling that Futa and Yuno are going to work together soon or at the very least be the ones to piece together what milgram is. Futa has a front row seat to condemning people so he understand the mindset of Justice (i use that word loosely) and the amusement in seeing scums downfall. Yuno is very calculating and she’s seen how the prisoners are changing, kotoko has pretty much come to the same conclusion as Yuno but her need for punishment is clouding her judgment. She pretty much just needs a reason to strike someone down, any reason at all to sate her bloodlust. So far these are the only three to question what Milgram is beyond the surface level of “why am I here?” There are still more trials to go so I’m very excited to see where this is going (Also I’d like to note that Es says they’re putting their life on the line to judge everyone when they have a barrier protecting them. They also say “if you and I really are the same kind of person like you claim, I’ll end up like that sooner or later anyways.” Very VERY note worthy to me considering there’s an empty cell. I’m voting him innocent no matter what Okay so I decided to just put all my overall thoughts on Futa here So the basics of Futa’s crime is that he participated in cancel culture and ended up going too far one day and drove someone to suicide. Right off the bat I think that’s pretty messed up, but not “Go to jail” levels of messed up, it’s clear that Futa didn’t have any bad intentions, he was just too caught up in his ego to understand things would take that turn. Futa is pretty young, literally 20, he’s still in college, he’s still learning. It’s also important to mention that Futa clearly doesn’t have many friends as seen in one moment in Bring It On when he’s just staring at a group of friends like he’s jealous of them. Engaging in cancel culture gives him a sense of companionship, this just furthers the point of him not wanting anything bad to happen, as Es said, he was just using it as a means of entertainment, to feed that ego of his. It’s also very clear that he feels remorse for his actions considering in both of his MV’s he looks genuinely horrified after the girl dies. So I imagine that him constantly insisting that it wasn’t his fault and that he didn’t know, and that he didn’t kill anyone is his way of coping with his guilt. And then there’s the situation he’s in right now, where he’s been dragged into some place he’s unfamiliar with and gets his ass kicked by a Light Yagami knockoff because some randos decided that they don’t forgive him for what he did, he’s clearly very anxious and panicked because of the trauma he’s faced in Milgram TL;DR I deem Futa innocent because I genuinely don’t see him as a criminal, I just see him as a reckless kid who’s irresponsible actions got blown out of proportion

Honestly I feel like this is the best punishment for Futa. He is experiencing the exact same thing he put his victims through though the violence is real. I don't believe he is fully guilty, but I am less inclined to believe he is innocent. He loved role playing online as a warrior for justice by exposing people's "crimes" and having them be cancelled. Futa was the one who started every online battle. That is true of how Twitter works. People like Futa present the evidence of their victim's crimes, dox them, and then let internet do the rest. This is the equivalent of someone buying a gun and loading it with bullets only to leave it on the table for someone else to pull the trigger. It's how a lot of online bullies get away with their crimes because they weren't the one who actually killed the victim, but they did set everything up for someone else to do it. Futa makes it clear that he regrets it, but not fully because he doesn't believe he is solely responsible even though he's the one who started it. I can't honestly believe that someone who tries to cancel another person does not expect something major to happen to them? The whole point of cancelling someone is to make their lives miserable. To make them lose their jobs, their reputation, their support system, and if they end their lives, that's what some people want. Futa felt no remorse for the other people's lives he ruined because to him it was justified (which some might have been). Futa only feels bad because the girl died. I question whether he really feels bad about the girl or about how his life might get cancelled for his actions?

The information here is not the weapon, but the direction. The weapon is his followers. Futa threw a weapon forcefully in the girl's direction, the thing is that he didn't know what kind of weapon was thrown. a stone, a knife, a bullet, a BOMB? In the end, it resulted in death, that's his crime. play with fire. Also, Futa may be lying, let's remember that they are not obliged to tell the truth, and they can influence their videos at their convenience. It's somewhat contradictory, for example, in his first MV, he was the main aggressor, the one who did all the damage, with an increasingly stronger weapon, and here, suddenly in his second MV, he just made a line in the graffiti and then the others the rest, when in the previous graffiti he was the one that had the most drawing on top. Perfectly, he can still be in denial of the fact, and since he is cornered he admits the minimum fault in order to reduce the damage towards him. Everything that the prisoners tell us should always be taken with a grain of salt, because in the end, everything will always look for the most beneficial angle in pursuit of their goal.
@Mmannk2 жыл бұрын
@@novaakasha6217 the voice drama explained that the MVs are made from their memories. They can’t fabricate them. The first MV showed he thought he was fighting as a hero of justice, hence why he thought he should be the main character and showed him doing the large amounts of damage. His method of fighting was exposing people of their sins, and the damage was in correlation to how much it affected them. That weapon was the information. It shows at the end he didn’t mean for anyone to die, and thought he was destroying “evil”, not a human’s life. He had a party in the game in that MV, and it wasn’t just him attacking the “boss”. It only showed him dealing damage because he is the main character. In the second MV, it shows him marking the person with the spray paint. This signifies marking her as evil, setting her as a target. He’s mortified watching his past self do this. He started the attack, and he showed that he was joined by many other hands in this onslaught. The fact it’s symbolism again shows he thought he wasn’t killing something, further proven by the sudden switch in scenery to her crumbling rather than just a graffiti getting painted over. Reality struck, and the entire time he’s mortified beyond belief. This is from his own memories. He contributed, he started it, but he was not the only one who finished it and he didn’t know it was killing someone. It was manslaughter. I can’t be convinced otherwise. Even if he told her directly to kill herself, I’d not call him a murderer. He didn’t come to her house and take her life. She took her own life. I’ve considered suicide in the past because of situations similar, and I’d never call my bully a murderer because they made me want to die. And if he’s a murderer straight up, the other people who contributed should also be here. They’re just as wrong if not more, because it’s implied they KNEW what they were doing, contrary to Futa’s delusion that he was doing what was right.
@novaakasha62172 жыл бұрын
@@Mmannk First, Yes, I know that the videos make up his memories, but it is also implied that his feelings and personal interpretations of them influence, that is what explains the big difference between the two MVs, if not, Futa's role from hero to marker, it would not have existed from one video to another. PS: Humans have something called "imagination", which can create memories and even modify them. I mean, things like the "mandela effect" is a good example of this. And a person who doesn't admit his crimes can perfectly create versions of his memories where he looks less guilty. Otherwise, as I said before, there couldn't be big differences between the perspectives shown from one MV to another. And no, the information was not the weapon in this case, since it was not used to harm her, as I said before, it was used to establish the path that the real weapon would take, which was bulliyng and aggression by people. Saying that information is the weapon is like saying that a knife is not a weapon, but the gravity that allows it to reach the momentum to be able to damage. If you want, you can view the information as an extension of the weapon, but if so, then you can assign other things as part of the weapon, such as Futa's "naivety", or people's thirst for "justice", even, if that girl was depressed, you can say that depression was the weapon that killed her. Literally, you can assign as a "weapon" a number of things that did not directly cause the bite of an individual, and therefore, we must focus on what most directly causes that death, which was tens/hundreds of people attacking her, which, was shot by Futa's action. That is, the followers are the bullet, the gun (what gives impulse and direction to the bullet) is the information, and Futa the trigger (since he was the one who pulled the trigger). and the dealer, is actually the person who told Futa about the girl. Now, let's get one thing straight, certainly the "Murderer" tag looks big on Futa, but it doesn't change the theme that he committed a homicide. And something that is open to interpretation, is that his regret comes from someone dying due to his carelessness or... be judged for that carelessness? Leaving completely aside the issue of someone dying or not. Does Futa even recognize that his actions could end someone's life in the first place? He said it himself, "I'm being judged for my only mistake", does Futa really regret what he did, or just the result? Let's not forget that Es, in order to judge them, wants to first understand the nature of what led to that result. We can compare it to running over someone, the vast majority of people who kill someone by running over them with their car due to "accident", due to "recklessness", are not aware of their car as a weapon at all, even if it is something that is repeated in the media, something they can tell you when you get your license, at the end of the day, for the average person, their car is not a weapon that can harm someone, until it happens. That can be applied to Futa. Justice in the digital field is young, and not only in the digital field, but also in the psychological and emotional field. Not long ago, various crimes could be dismissed when the damage only affects the person's mind. And in turn, with the right of free expression, a double-edged sword with which we will probably have to deal for eternity. Futa's actions enter the same window of a car as a weapon, here, social networks as a weapon. Thus, truly judging the nature of Futa's actions is the right thing to do, as the line between manslaughter and homicide. That's my problem with Futa, I want to forgive him, but I don't know what kind of "kid" he is. Is the "kid" who understands the weight of his actions, and the damage he can cause to others and therefore will stop having that attitude or doing those actions? Or is it the child who hurt himself because of his "mischief", and in turn was punished for it, out of fear, he won't do it anymore... until he forgets it, and since he never learned the weight of his actions, he commits it again? Regretting the result will never be the same as regretting your actions. And even if I call him "kid", Futa is an "adult", at least for our society and for the basics of the psychology of a person "aware of his actions". He chose to never see "villains" as people, he chose to use a "weapon" without knowing how dangerous it was. He chose to take action, although he did not have the obligation or authority, much less the correct capacities for it. All of this he did out of will, or if you want to be nice, full disregard for human values. and before my final thought, I will only say the following: 1- about your personal experience, I don't want to go into it fully, because it is not my place to comment on your life. But, something I have learned, both from personal experience, and by reading both fiction and serious documentaries. It is that "forgiving" something that was done to one is an act of self-healing rather than really "forgiving" the other person. From what you tell me, that "I'd not call him a murderer", is really not an argument that I can accept, when it comes personally. Because by forgiving him, you gain something, which is internal healing, being able to deal with your psycho-emotional issues without involving that person more. But from an objective point of view, the malicious act of bullying you is a crime, a crime, even if the perpetrator decides to ignore it, it can cause the death of a person, in multiple ways, one of them, suicide. As I said before, the same way as reckless driving on the street. Also, it is not the same to talk about the living than the dead. So I'm sorry if it's not the answer you expect, but even if the "victim" grants "forgiveness", to be impartial to them, the case in which the victim does not forgive him should also be analyzed. And as I said before, today we are more and more aware that the seriousness of the acts is not tied to direct physical action, like direct physical damage. In fact, for some people, it is much more serious and cruel, to lead a person to take their own life than to take by one.

6:49 this is an interesting point, and it made me have a thought: people have speculated that es is the 11th prisoner, but specifically, what if they only _might_ be a murderer? specifically, if someone dies as a result of es's judgement (or rather, *our* judgement) that would make es (us) guilty of that person's death. that's why the eleventh cell is empty-- the crime hasn't been committed yet. its up to us if it will be.

protect fuuta at all costs damn😭 i'm probably gonna vote kotoko guilty, because it doesn't make sense that she wants to "punish" the ones that didn't get forgiveness when she's literally a criminal like them. kotoko has good intentions, but she's expressing them in the wrong way, so maybe by voting "guilty" she's gonna understand. (plus, if fuuta gets out of milgram as innocent he most likely won't do anything like that online again, but if kotoko gets out as innocent she's probably gonna commit those crimes again).

Yes!!! I've been waiting for this, thanks for making it! edit: I wasn't expecting Es to be show as sympathetic here, I've always seen him as evil to be honest. I find odd how Fuuta blamed Es for "the voices in his head", although to be fair Es did enjoy scaring Fuuta and having power over him in his first interrogation. Even though I pity him, he would have turned into a jerk if he had been deemed innocent. The choice is basically turning a character into a jerk or turning them into a wooby. The cofrontantion was interesting. I hope at some point Es realizes that they are more than their job.

I pity him, like, really. He looks really torn right now, and I don't blame him. He gets what he's done, he now has to feel what his victim felt, and I think that's a fair punishment. In the song, he mentioned that 'he did wrong once and there's no more chance' and begged for one more chance, which, ironically, he also didn't give any chance to his victim either. Karma did its thing, huh.

Also, I don't know if this is intentional, but the bell seems to have some kind of effect on the interrogation. What makes Fuuta difficult in my opinion is that, while he's right that we or Es aren't that different from him in dishing out judgement, there is still no clear sign that he acknowledges he messed up ("I didn't think it would turn out this way" "I was just going off on some person online" "I wasn't violent" "It wasn't just me"). Even after going through what the girl who died went through (the eyes constantly judging, hearing voices could all be seen as symbols for the comments the girl received) he still, like Es said, has no words of apology. I understand what he's saying, that we have no right to judge, just like he had no right to comment a single thing he did. But it's acknowledgement of the last bit from his side that makes it difficult to decide. And his threats at the end don't help his case either.

4:43 They’re all murderers, did u forgot???? 😭 Tbh I find it funny how Es says murderer instead of like guilty or unforgiven for his murder. Kotoko and Fuuta’s murders are both really alike and completely opposite. They both killed for the sake of justice but Kotoko’s was intentional while Fuuta’s wasn’t and didn’t even get his hands dirty (Mahiru and him both having this similarity and both voted guilty really got me 💀). How they treated their situations is also similar, focused on their target and not the victims. Fuuta didn’t approach the woman and ask if she was alright or needed help while Kotoko didn’t even care about the poor kid the guy abducted. Personally hated what Kotoko did more (can understand y people would hate Fuuta’s actions more) mostly for how she didn’t care about the victim’s wellbeing like at all. The child also witnessed what went down, Kotoko could’ve helped the kid get free and run off before killing the guy but naw. Still love the meme of someone comparing these two and their votes.

I think in the end they will judge us too. Fuuta’s words saying we’re the same and some cases make me think that way. As everyone mentions even though the crimes was similar in nature and Kotoko’s was literally murder we judged her innocent while judging Fuuta guilty, so that means we did a bad job and didn’t judge them equally i think. Fuuta’s reaction could be positive if we judged them both guilty, since he feels guilt, judging him guilty then innocent is good, but not judging them equally is making us look like hypocrites. So we might lose points for that lol. Of course they said we were free to judge them however we want but they never said there won’t be any repercussions. I think that’s what they meant in this interrogation
@nikubiti8599 Жыл бұрын
I am as always late as hell, but I wanna voice my thoughts too. I never understood how the heck Kotoko was forgiven round one? Sorry for my poor english in advance) If we compare two of them: both fight for their justice, both are searching up information on targets and "punish" them. But the last part of "punishment", that's where they're so different! In Futa's case, I assume, it could be physical violence or doxing ppl at max, but NEVER murder. Kotoko, on the other hand, is literally a cold-blooded killer. She thinks that executing people will be the only way of punishing bad ones (even if not the only, she still thinks killing will be justifiable punishment for whatever the crime). Kotoko doesn't regret her doings at all (her grinning in the middle of mv and smiling towards the end), but if we're talking about Futa - he knows he fucked up and at the end person died (girl who killed herself presumably, plus that's even not like a direct murder, plus he's not the one to make final push, but we're putting it aside, cause with the first mv we couldn't have known it), the point is, that he regrets it so so much. That's like his full trauma from the get go! We live in the time where death penalty is abolished in the majority of countries with no matter how serious the crime is and no matter the person. Just wow! So it just blows my mind that the girl, who's literally bringing death penalty to people plus definitely will be doing it again, was forgiven, and the guy, who was so traumatised by his slip up plus definitely won't do it again, was found unforgivable.. (just at first, I know, I'm happy for my boy rn)) I am aware that bringing justice to other people by yourself is already morally challenging, but I'm talking more about how it was done by each of them) P.S: AND I know I know how without this second song maybe it wasn't so clear about Futa really regretting his actions, but I'm more talking about Kotoko being forgiven by such large amount of votes compared to her guilty verdict P.S.2: I don't believe anyone is going to see this, but I still wanted to voice out my thoughts, but if you read all of this despite my bad grammar, you're literally a hero to me) Have an amazing rest of your day~

Same as this i'm curious how the story will end and more importatntly, the results or outcomes from our 'judgement' towards the prisoner and of course, ES. Will something happend to them too?
