And Mu honestly believed that she was justified in what she was doing and she did nothing wrong. It was just games and fun, nothing bad happened to anyone. "Im so cute after all. Cute can't be bad or evil" The victim in the end put spotlight on Mu herself and everyone she thought as her "friends" turned on her in a moment and she was bullied even more. The ending was mostly about "Please, say it was a lie. help me. im sorry for what i did." and victim said no. Act of desperation was a stab with a paperknife that lead to an unfortunate death.

@@momiji3345 Sorry but It’s clear that Mu feel regret and doubt about all of this. BUT- the nuance is where she is trying to reach an ideal. The ideal of the one who doesn’t deserve what she’s being trough. Mu is having that behavior to be the closest to that ideals. She’s in fact know that was she has done was bad and regret it deeply. But at the same time these feelings conflict with her ideals of « I wasn’t wrong » as she as to apologize somewhere as she kinda deserves to be treated that way and everything was her fault in the end so no one should emphasize with her feelings because it’s more a punishment that a unfortunate thing. Mu is a child who can only distinguish black and white based on herself. As she understands, that the other prisoners probably had their reasons to kill someone. Saying that someone is unforgivable for the same thing as her would mean that by extension she’s unforgivable. Everything is not black and white. But for her everything is either bad or good. It’s as simple as that. The world just don’t work the same for her. Her image of herself is already quite perplexed but with this whole Milgram situation she can’t adopt the situation otherwise. What I mean, is that in MILGRAM. It’s the worst place possible to show doubts about your actions with your actions/murder. Being in the wrong means being not liked by Es so deserve everything that happen to her so her bullys were right so GUILTY. (Not really but it’s was explained like that to her) again she will have to suffer for trying to stop her suffering no matter how hard she tried that’s won’t stop. She can’t just admit she was wrong somewhere it’s would literally mean that she won’t be protect by the only place ON her side. (She seems to hate school and police. So in my opinion she tried to get help but yk rich girl being rich girl probably some corruption somewhere and for the school they usually don’t care.) So yeah, her new behavior was conform to that idea ! And it’s not that of a shock Milgram has protect and help Mu to reach that ideal version of herself(+ Haruka also has help). But still, Mu can only show that side of her to Milgram. But to Haruka, she explains her doubts, anxiety and everything. As Haruka said that she was scared of Milgram. Is the new Mu, look scared ? No, but she is. Anyways, my point was that she can show something but the meaning behind all of this is totally different. It’s not really about how we think the world is but about how they see it. Mu wants to be like by Es. So she shows them a «good» her (Notice how Mu’s behavior change and NEVER said that something hurt. Even when Yuno reject her) so everything that the bullying happens for in the board(what she thinks is the reason she don’t exactly know about it) she did stop doing it.

友達と夜な夜な話し合った末の考察 以下長文 ムウは過去にLINEのグループ名「たまりば」の4人で外ハネちゃんをいじめてた。 曲の最後に映る黒板の内容が曲の冒頭と違うのは、暴言の相手が違うから。 (曲の最後の黒板に貧乏くさい？みたいなワードがあるがムウはお金持ちである、左側に外ハネちゃんの似顔絵みたいなのがあるなど、ムウには当てはまらない暴言ばかり) また、曲の最後のムウは教卓の前に立って楽しげな表情をしており、恐らく菊の花であろうものを持っている。花瓶の花が置かれている席はムウではなく外ハネちゃんの席。 「たまりば」のトーク画面が映った場面、「リップありがとう！」に対してムウの「余り物だけど良かった？」という無神経というか、ちょっと鼻につく返信、こういうのが他の3人の中では積もりに積もってたのだと思う。それである日いじめのターゲットがムウに。 壮絶ないじめの中、トイレで倒れているところに外ハネちゃんが通りがかるが、外ハネちゃんはムウを無視。それに対してムウは激昂→追いかけて刺傷って流れかなと思った。 なぜ外ハネちゃんだけ顔が鮮明に描かれてるのか、外ハネちゃんに無視された時に激昂してるのかについては、憶測でしかないですが、曲の中盤でムウが突っ伏してる机が外ハネちゃんの机(曲の最後で花が置かれてる所)の隣に見えたので、いつもいるグループとは関係なく特別仲良しだったのかなと。 きっと外ハネちゃんをいじめてる時は「ごめんなさいが聞こえないよ？」と責め続けてたのでしょうね、そして歌詞の中に「ごめんの魔法」とあるように、ムウはずっとごめんと言えばなんでも赦されてきたのだと思います。だから外ハネちゃんを追いかけて謝ったけど手を振り払われて逆ギレした結果の殺人だった。 私は最近ミルグラムにハマりましたが、ムウは絶対赦されてはいけない人間だったと思います。

"Strangers would never want to hurt each other that badly." There's a common belief among the MILGRAM theorists that because of the photo on her phone where she is smiling with her bullies, Mu is """"""""secretly""""""""" a bully herself. There's a lot of hard stretches that people use to say that Mu isn't the victim, from "maybe she deserves to be bullied" to her faking her own bullying. However this is predominantly under the assumption that a person who is friends with their bullies must either A) mean that there is a huge reason behind why they turned on her, or B) Mu is faking her bullying for attention because she's clearly good friends with them. However the sad truth is, a lot of bullying comes from the people closest to them. While there are often cases of people harassing strangers or acquaintances, there are just as many if not MORE cases where people are bullied by their peers. While there are reasons why people bully their friends, most of the time it's not for any 'logical' reason. It is ironic that there is a huge amount of dislike for the idea of bullying (as seen with Fuuta), however the reason why a significant number of people bully others is because they view themselves as justified somehow. Which is why I think Fuuta and Mu being next to each other is important; no bully cackles and rubs their hand plotting their evil schemes to demean others. They just do it. Because it's easy, and/or because they view the victim as 'deserving' of it. It's exceptionally easy for everyone to say that they hate bullying. But when bullying happens, a lot of people either let it happen or think that there must be some reason for it. Which permits people with the same mindset as Fuuta to do the things they do. My actual theory/analysis, is that it's a lot more straightforward. There are many indications that the bullying is actually happening, not Mu faking it. The most obvious being the hourglass metaphor. Mu is trapped inside an hourglass, with no chance of getting out (unless if the hourglass breaks). If the bullying was fake, the hourglass wouldn't constantly fill with sand while Mu is still in it. A more accurate metaphor would be an open cage; something that Mu can leave easily but she chooses not to. An hourglass, with it's sand physically weighing down on Mu and threatening to suffocate her is dangerous. Not to mention, there is a physical wall between her and her bullies. The bullies watch her from the outside, but they don't hear her cries for help (or record her). The hourglass slowly fills up with sand, at the start there's only a little bit of sand that reaches her ankles. Then by 0:59, the sand already has crawled up to her waist. By 1:29, it almost completely covered Mu and she sits there defeated not even trying to call for help. And by 1:39, you see the last bit of sand threatening to fall out of the hourglass. The hourglass breaks when Mu stabs her crush right as the last grain of sand falls through, meaning that Mu no longer has to worry about the threat of suffocation. However she instead has to deal with the fact she stabbed someone, where she clearly hyperventilates and freaks out. [TW FOR MENTIONS OF SUICIDE BELOW] As for what the sand represents, my genuine theory is that it represents Mu's ability to deal with the bullying. There are a lot of allusions/implications/mentions of Mu being suicidal, and the hourglass even has a few of them (the noose at 0:35). It's likely that had she not had a fit of emotion while on her last thread, Mu would have killed herself when the hourglass ran out of sand. In essence, the hourglass is Mu's time before she ends up giving up and killing herself. However the trauma of murdering someone else shattered the hourglass, stopping Mu from taking her own life. In addition, there are very VERY explicit depictions of her "friends" taking advantage of Mu's kindness/wealth/desire to be liked. The cell phone texts show that Mu has given the bullies her own 'spare' lipstick (of an extremely expensive, designer lipstick) and they fawn over the fact that it's extremely good. Mu appears happy that they enjoy it, because by extension it means that they appreciate having Mu around. Which then contrasts with Mu getting poured water on, and them stepping on the same phone. The stanza that accompanies Mu with the bullies alongside Mu looking on at her phone is extremely telling of their relationship. "But I see it in my dreams even though I erased it / Maybe I’m done / Just one more time before saying goodbye / I’m just kidding, please forget I said that" The first time references to Mu thinking about the happier times (which likely wasn't that happy, but they still 'appreciated' Mu, or more accurately her wealth), and that she is tired of dealing with the bullying (which is backed up by the hourglass almost almost entirely running out of sand). Before she says goodbye to the world, Mu wants to be happy again with her former friends. Mu wishes to have their friendship back, from before they started bullying her. But since she views it as a selfish, impossible desire...she dismisses it as a "joke". Mu clearly wishes for the same happy, jokey scene before but since it's something out of reach then it's easier for her to laugh it off/distance herself from the idea. Another thing that people bring up is that "because Mu apologies a lot, this means that she's just faking it!" It's actually EXTREMELY common for people who are bullied heavily to apologize more than what is considered 'needed', since they feel like they're always in the wrong. It's why it's bad to aggressively ask someone why they're apologizing so much, because their instinctive response is to apologize for apologizing. As for why her apologies to the person she murdered end up getting weaker/not as emotional, it's likely that her crying so much/freaking out is physically exhausting her. Thus she gets more and more tired as she repeats her apologies, but it won't result in Mu being able to undo her mistake. This is starting to get long, but tl;dr: Mu is very clearly getting bullied and a lot of her scenes/mindset speaks directly as a bullying victim rather than someone who is pretending to be a bully victim.

Exactly. Plus do people not realize that even if Mu had given the bullies a "reason" to bully her, like being arrogant or something, it still would not be enough of a reason to bully her. 1. In fact, IF Mu had done something so horrible that she would have deserved bullying, then they would be at fault, because bullying wouldn't solve anything. But obviously we're not given any good reason for why Mu should be bullied, and I don't even think there is one. Like, being arrogant is not reason enough to be bullied, as if ANYTHING ever is. Plus that's most likely a rumor at first spread behind her back, so that the bullies feel better about bullying her by justifying it to themselves and other people. 2. I don't see any way Mu would gain something positive out of pretending to be bullied. I don't think that if she was pretending, that she would get her stuff broken, get laughed at, crude writings on chalkboard etc. Even if Mu did pretend, that shows that purple haired girl probably didn't really care. That being said, I absolutely agree with you, and think that Mu wasn't faking and that she is innocent. Purple haired girl just walked over Mu lying down on the floor, probably knowing what was happening, and just ignored it all. And sure, that's not as bad as bullying somebody and she didn't deserve to be killed, but it was still wrong. I think Mu stabbed PHG out of frustration and anger, but that it was an accident. I can't comprehend how people can look at her face in the end, and think that someone who's clearly hyperventilating and shaken up after killing somebody is faking it. And she expresses a LOT of regret over the course of the music video, unlike Fuuta, who just seems scared for HIS own life.

She was pushed to the point of completely snapping, and when she did, she most likely wasn't thinking about it at all. I mean, PHG was her crush, who just completely ignored her in her worst state and when she directly seemed to cry for help. There could be an argument that this murder was premeditated because for some reason, Mu had a box cutter. //TW FOR SUICIDE// However, due to the lyrics directly before her crush passes over her, I'm fairly certain that she had the box cutter to end her own life. "Maybe I'm done / Just one more time before saying goodbye / I'm just kidding, please forget I said that" The hourglass had just run out previously and saying "maybe I'm done" indicates that Mu couldn't handle it anymore. She probably felt hopeless, and had the boxcutter to kill herself and "say goodbye" so to speak. The school appeared almost completely empty, and it seemed to be evening. That might be why Mu stayed where she was for so long. Maybe she was just waiting for everyone to leave so nobody could stop her, and when PHG (her crush) passed by, she desperately reached out for help one last time. Obviously, she'd probably trust her crush and believe that maybe, she could have one person on her side. //TW OVER// When the person she cared for actively pulled away from her after she called out for help, its no wonder Mu lashed out. She was emotionally unstable due to going through so much bullying, not to mention that she's a teenager, which is one of the most emotional age groups (I probably don't need to go into detail on this). And once again, she was clearly still in that emotional state after killing, realizing what she'd done and panicking. So yeah, just adding onto you both. I really don't see how anyone could say Mu "deserved it" when it clearly hurt her so much. Nobody, especially not a CHILD, deserves to be pushed so far.

Another thing to note is that the girl she fell in love with was her seatmate. 1:17 Mu's desk is 5th row, 4th from the right (basing it on the light from the window compared to 3:31) 3:31 Flower (which Japanese schools put on deceased student's desks) is on the desk right beside Mu's On 1:22 Mu pushes her phone out of her desk towards that girl's desk while singing "Someone please help me." I think this furthers the interpretation that Mu and that girl were close before the bullying began. The person she liked most likely started ignoring her after the bullying because she didn't want to get involved (like how she hid the entire time in the bathroom stall instead of helping). Mu was actively asking for help from that girl but was ignored.

I relate to Muu deeply. I am currently in a really bad situation online and I feel like I have the exact same mindset as she has. I feel like I’ve been constantly switching between being the one hated on and the one to send hate. I feel like people have done bad things to me so I have lashed out and hated on them, and it keeps repeating. I can’t stop victimising myself unconsciously, I am aware that what I’m doing is bad and a lot of it is my fault but I don’t want it to be. A part of me is trying to push the blame onto others and claim that their actions have been the one to push me this far, but I don’t even know what is true everywhere. I have been extremely paranoid of everyone in this situation and am so scared that everyone is going to hate and hurt me, and some of the people who have blocked me or who I have felt I have hurt are people I used to consider friends, but I’m in the situation where I can only feel anger towards them. I have apologised a lot, but I never feels as my words of “I’m sorry” has reached anyone. And I feel as if I’m yelling into an endless void. Someone did reach out to me, to help me. But an incident happened where it felt like they betrayed me. I don’t know if it was a misunderstanding or not, but we got back together. But I am in the situation where I am eating on them to make a choice which could lead to me indefinitely hating them. I’ve felt like hating and lashing out in violence has been the only option and I can’t escape in any other way. That counterattack is the death of me. But if I feel like everyone suddenly accepts me I feel like I will slip into a mindset of nothing being my fault. And I feel like I am a complete monster for acting the way I am. If I look at Muu’s behaviour in trial 2. I really do feel like that I am going to destroy anyone who “betrays” me. That even a single like on a post that I feel like is targeting me makes them dead to me. I feel as I am controlling the people who still support me through victimising myself even if I don’t know it. I feel as though everyone is picking sides and I am the head person in charge of “my side”, and the monster. I’ve never thought about Muu that much but this situation has made me understand her so, so much more. I can now understand every action she’s made, why she lashed out against Rei and why she turned to be a bully, and the cycle she’s trapped in. I hate how people mischaracterise Muu and say she’s irredeemably evil or a manipulator, as someone in a very similar situation people assuming that about me is my biggest fear. And I feel scared for how she’s going to turn up in trial 3. But, I just need to respect how realistic Muu’s situation is and how it’s guiding me through a tough some, serving as some sort of cautionary tale. Muu and her story may be the way I could get out of this situation. So I have utmost respect to the creators of Milgram for portraying her character like this, as she resonates deeply with me.

one thing i noticed is that, if you listen carefully, there's this background sound of a clock ticking consistently up until the chorus each time (where it explodes in that bang! as she breaks out into the chorus, kind of like an alarm going off), and then disappears, only to reappear again for the verse. during the bridge, it's gone in the first part, but comes back when she's running towards the other girl at 2:10, and at 2:23 it goes out in it's usual kind of ring, but then reappears when she's confronting the girl -- and this time the clock ticking is much more audible, and slower than at any point in the track, kind of to emphasize how it's counting down to muu's breaking point -- when she stabs the girl. also important to note that this time when it 'rings', it's more aggressive than at any other points; compare 2:37 - 2:38 to 1:23 - 1:26 & 0:25 - 0:28; usually it kind of has that typical ringing tone kind of sound, but at her breaking point it's lacking that ring, just the aggressive percussive beat signaling her final break -- the hourglass being shattered. again at 3:22 the ticking comes back, but rather than erupting or ringing like before, it just stops, showing the finality of that hourglass shattering. bonus: unrelated to the clock ticking, but i like how from 3:07 to 3:20, when she's speaking her lines instead of singing them (the "i'm sorry" lines), she goes from sounding very meek and fragile, to apathetic and resolute.

なんというかまた難しい歌がきたなぁ、これ。 いじめの被害者、助けを求めたのにそれを振り払われてしまったことで突発的に相手を刺してしまい死なせてしまった、という感じでしょうか？ いじめに直接参加していない数少ない人物だったからこそ助けてくれる、と思ってしまったのでしょうか？ いじめていた相手への報復ですらないのが、どうしようもなく救いがなくて悲しい。 砂時計に閉じ込められて曲の進行と共に溜まっていくのが精神的に追い詰められいくのを表している気がするし、同時にそのまま閉じ込められたままだったら彼女の死で終わっていたかもしれないと思うと目を覆いたくなるような惨状。 殺人を犯してしまったことは良いとは言えないが、閉じ込められていた砂時計を壊してしまったことで生き延びることが出来たと考えるとどうなのかなぁと思ってしまう。 しかも、彼女自身がどうしようもないことをしてしまったと今も責め続けているような最後の感じがより辛い。 どういう形であれ殺人を犯してしまったのなら赦すべきではないという理屈の部分と、だったらいつ終わるのかも分からない苦痛にひたすら耐え続けていればよかったのかという心情の部分が鬩ぎ合う。 赦す赦さないを論じるのなら彼女自身よりも、そこまで彼女を追い詰めておきながら問題を起こした原因を自分自身に問うことなく新しい火種として非難するような周囲の人間の方では？などと思う。 直接的な暴力ではなくても人を死なせてしまえるということに無自覚過ぎると感じる。

Mu seems like the kind of character to apologize not out of guilt or sorrow, but to demand forgiveness/be forgiven. As shown in the lyrics ["I'm sorry" won't reach anyone.], she's expecting forgiveness by saying "I'm sorry" which makes sense if you consider her possibly being spoiled. It's also worth noting that she feels no guilt for the crime she's committed. (because she's not actually sorry, she just expects pardon due to her circumstances)

I think we can assume especially bases on her 2nd trial qna that she genuinely doesnt think she did anything wrong by killing that girl, so its possible that shes also so delusional that her definition of bullying is just completely messed up, or that the girl did bully her, but not as bad as she thinks. Because Mu is evidently a spoiled girl as well, I wouldnt be surprised if she was just a drama queen and genuinely believed that the bullying she went through was worse than what it actually was. Keeping in mind that these mv's are all what they think/see in their mind, not everything may have been as bad as it actually was. After watching the MV multiple times, reading theories and translating Japanese theories this is my conclusion. A lot of Japanese theories state the girl who was stabbed at the end was probably the first girl to get bullied and they ended up switching to Mu afterwards for some reason. I think that's correct since she has a face, somewhat similar to Mu's at some points in the video, maybe Mu saw a bit of herself in the other girl since they were both bullied. The part that best describes what I'm thinking is the eye colour, they both have green eyes most of the time but the other girl's eye colour changes to orange at 2:48 meaning at that point Mu may have realised she wasn't the same as her after all which led to Mu stabbing her. There are theories in both languages saying that Mu might love the other girl and I'd say it *could be* correct. It *could be* why the bullying target changed, if Mu confessed to the girl, the girl may have used that as an opportunity to get out of being bullied. She may have snitched on Mu and/or took advantage of the fact that Mu was willing to get bullied in her stead. Either way people probably started looking for Mu's flaws to justify themselves while harassing her, it's easy to overlook a person's negative traits when you consider them a friend but after turning on them, those are the first traits you think of when bad-mouthing said friend; Things like "I always thought she acted arrogant" will make them sound like a victim or kind person in their own heads, "I overlooked her negative traits for too long" or something of the like. Leading to the line 1:27 where it's stated they made her the villain. Mu was most likely unaware she sounded arrogant leading to the lines at 0:42 - 0:55. It was natural for her to act the way she did since people always "let her off" and never told her that she was acting snobby until they full on bullied her (due to her wealth probably) which makes her question, "Is it okay to breathe?" In the end it seems she doesn't know what to do other than apologise but it didn't work. The other girl probably started ignoring Mu after she became the target of bullying (1:27 - 1:38 lines may be related) which led to Mu chasing her at the end. She probably got scared at that point and shook Mu off, maybe she didn't want to suffer again? Either way this leads Mu to stabbing her since she probably felt betrayed at this point, my theory has gone full circle so I'd stop but I mightmention some things I'm less certain about in the replies.

ok to the people of the COURTROOM: my friend precalc'd this shit and figured out the dimensions of the hourglass at the beginning (hg1) vs the one she sits in (hg2), and if you scale the time between hg1 (looks to be a standard three minute egg timer) and hg2, with apprx dimensions of a diameter of 42.5 inches and a height of 21 inches (based on her official height of 5'3"/162 cm), it comes out to a cylinder with an area of 446.25 in cb. OK THIS IS IMPORTANT: the master class three minute hourglass egg timer is 4 by 10 cm (1.75 by 3.94 in). assuming that an hourglass is SYMMETRICAL, the bottom half should be 5cm OR 1.97 inches. WHICH MEANS that 3 minutes on hg1 is equal to 4.74 in cb. MEANING that hg2 measures 94.15 minutes or 1.569 hours (haha nice). 1.569 hours divided by 24 hours gives us a ratio of 0.065. USING THAT to fraction out how many days of the year (365 days), we get 23.86 days. SCALING THAT to a normal Japanese highschool term of apprx 3 years, we get 71.59 days. SO our theory is that the time it took between Mu starting to be bullied and Mu koroshimasu her classmate is about 72 days!!

After the release of the second mv, the lyrics “Why won’t you stop hurting me?” and “My heart is dried up” have a really different vibe to them now. The first might be Muu’s perspective of her victim speaking to her or Muu victimizing herself like “Why are you mad, I never did anything wrong!” (Aka “It’s Not My Fault”) and the “My heart is dried up” part might be more Muu’s general lack of empathy than her feeling empty after having so many overwhelming emotions from her bullying, but that’s just a first glance theory EDIT: ALSO just realized “post mortem make up to hide my heart” might be after she killed the girl, and the “make up” is the facade of being a victim she is putting on for the audience in the first trial.

But the MV's are supposed to showcase their emotions and headspace, so she would have to fake how she feels. I think the first MV shows that Muu is defenseless and sad when she isn't supported, but when we forgave her, she got back to her confidence where she puts everybody else down so that they can't put her down. I also think that she thinks gossiping is just a normal friendship thing AAAAAAAND I think that the “post mortem make up to hide my heart” means that she tried to pretend that she didn't kill the girl but that it was instead a suicide.

There might always be a "Queen bee" but it doesn't necessarily need to be her specifically, and since that's what her worth was tied into it makes sense that it would come across the way it does since it's still from her point of view.

I actually have a theory that Muu was already showing her true self. When listening to her first trial song with headphones you can actually hear Muu say “I’m sorry” seperate from the song starting at 3:09 and she continues to say it 4 more times. Every time she says “I’m sorry” though, her tone changes a bit every time making her sound more similar to how she sounds and portrays herself in the second trail. Even her singing sounds more like her voice shown in the second trail by 3:21 Then right after at 3:24 she is shown in the classroom again singing with a much softer voice but her facial expressions match more of her in the second trail. Long story short this theory is trying to say she was already hinting by the end of her first trail music video that she was wearing a “mask” in a sense Lmk what y’all think though I love Muu and her songs :))

i think it's interesting to take a look at the writings in blackboard: - "arrogant girl" is the biggest one - グズグズ can mean someone who complaint a lot - a picture depicting self-harm? - saying she cry easily - "that's so mean (crying)" below knife drawing i think mu come off as arrogant because of her wealthy family, the type of girl who complaint a lot (again, bc of her wealthy family), and cry easily ー leading to people disliking her. mu might also be self-harming for attention (or simply bc she was bullied) another interesting to note that the hourglass might represent mu's "breaking" point. it fill up as the song goes on and right after it look it's almost empty, the lyrics say "i'm done" (1:44). the green liquid represent acid, i.e mu's toxic relationship with the 3 girls. and now for the reason mu is bullied ー come the purple-haired girl (i'm referring her as purple girl from now on). i believe that mu loved her in romantic sense. she might be mu's only "real" friend that doesn't see mu s a walking money bag. upon realizing mu's feeling for her, purple girl pushed mu away and "abandoned" mu. i also believe that purple girl is a snitch, telling mu's 3 friends (or perhaps even everyone in the school) that she like girls, thus the lines at 1:26 adding on, the line "the stabbing of the little devil's voice" (2:02 and 2:15) seems to be associated with purple girl, further confirming that purple girl inflicted some kind of misery upon mu, directly or indirectly mu's 3 friends reacted negatively to knowing mu liked purple girl, thus her "sorry" not reaching any of them and her getting bullied. she also likely has internalized homophobia, blaming herself for liking another girl (0:42) this indicate that mu has completely given up, secretly planning her own suicide already as a last ditch "revenge" against those that bullied her (1:55) the purple girl might've mocked mu (the stabbing of the little devil's voice line) or maybe it's the act of purple girl "abandoning" mu and walking away. or purple girl might've reminded mu that the reason she was suffering is partially bc she liked purple girl. either way, purple girl snapped mu (2:06) in the chase scene we see overflowing pipe (representing mu's hourglass breaking and everything spilling out), a hourglass on the edge of stairs (mu about to break), and a crow taking off (mu seeing death, either hers or purple girl's, as the only way to set her free from pain) 2:24 "why won't you stop hurting me" might be mu seeing purple girl as her source of misery (bullying) mu might've chased after her to "apologize" for having romantic feelings for purple girl, but purple girl just brushed mu off. seeing as how everyone (first her 3 friends, now purple girl) "abandoned" mu, she just completely broke and stabbed purple girl in either act of desperation or rage 2:46 "i want to feel alive" "is it ok if i breathe" mu probably just see purple girl as her source of misery and thought that by ending her, mu can be finally free from all her pain and "alive" again 2:53 she immediately regretted her actions, but no one want to listen to her anymore thus her sorry not reaching anyone her bullying likely worsened after what she did. the writings in the blackboard basically all tell her to hurry and go die. the flower vase could be tribute to purple girl's passing, but more likely than not it's a "go die" bullying for mu

@@kookoo7511 Um sorry but “少年院” is not "boy's school" in Japanese. It's actually a juvenile reformatory for teenagers who committed crimes. There's also “犯罪者”, which means "Criminal" in Japanese. To be honest, it should be "男子校" if it's referring to boy's school.
