The Bulgar hat is to the Italiano Bustina pattern used during WWII, Stan. Good use of the shirt (hairy) during the video.

Stan, I joined the Air Cadets at 15 after years in Scouting. (My original plan was to join the RAF) but at 16 my uncle who was a NCO in the TA had a word with the CO who let me unofficially start attending training 3 months before I turned 17. I ended up doing 5 years as a TA infantryman from the late 1990s.

Good stuff Taffy....I did on occasion think about joining up , at 21 I did the RAF test here in the uk and at 22 did the Australian army one in Perth, but I never followed it through, something always seemed to come my way , like a new job or another distraction....I can't have been that keen but looking back I think a stint in the military, full time or reserve, would have been a positive thing in my life....anyway too old now , so I will have to make do with collecting 🙂🙃🙂🙃

Forget to ad I like your Enfield I had one like it in the sniper configuration with the built up cheek piece on the but stock and a scope man it would lay down .303 on target I think it was dated 1943. Bagged a buck deer a little over 200 yards them were the days.

Thanks Timothy, yeh the sniper configuration ones, I've seen those, very desirable....I think they are worth a lot of money, the official ones came I a box I seem to recall...I'd love one in deac form but I reckon it would be beyond my finances....thanks again 🙂🙃🙂

Cheers blitz boys....only a short time in the cadets, but it's a good way for young people to experience 'armed forces' life up to a point. As to the 1000 subs thing , yeh it seems to take a while with my channel, but maybe I might do something....we will see...🙂
