the video is somewhat sarcastic, but I think that part is actually fair. the lowell mill girls were pretty much all farm girls who would've been waking up at 4AM regardless. The difference is working in a factory was much easier than working on a farm.

I agree. I watched this whole video thinking to myself, is this a joke? This is completely contrary to the real experiences that young women and children had. They were treated terribly, and were often abused. Even young school children should learn the truth about what mill life was like.
