Nice to see cows all relaxed and chilled while you stand there Dan, shows they're treated well and not rushed, pushed about, shouted at etc

Hi Dan , many thanks for the follow up footage of the different types of bedding pros & cons ,very interesting to be able to see the whole picture from when you chopped the different types of bales to actually using them . Can’t wait to see you use the MF 1200 again !

Very clean and well presented cubicles I was wondering Dan how the ground straws works in your slurry set up ? Re blockages mixing etc.

When you told us how much diesel the big Case was getting through, I thought back then the cost would be THE prohibiting factor. Cows looked very well and contented.

Hi Dan, the bedding looks really nice, but the staff seems to be very dusty. Farm on, Andreas

Hi Dan, could you please let me know the name of the treatment you use for your cubicle beds instead of lime. I suggested it to my employer and she would be interested in trying it to assist with mastitis control. Still thoroughly enjoying your videos both farming and vintage, i am particularly impressed with your skills on the lathe.

Have you used any rape straw in normal sheds? I'm wondering whether to use some say once a week or as a base to reduce costs
@CowfarmerDan2 жыл бұрын
Yes, once a week is enough though. It doesn't make a good bed like wheat does.

@@CowfarmerDan what would be the difference in cost versus Wheat?
@kaj-agehenneberg63122 жыл бұрын
It sounds like a good approach. But I couldn't help noticing how dusty the air became during spreading. Are there no cause for concern for the animals and humans working in such a dusty environment?
