Great drumming, sound is incredible. I have the same kit after decades of having a acoustic kit, and I am still getting used to the "tricks" of the digital drums - especially with the hi-hat. I understand you have a different software (I imagine because of the sounds you can access with it).

Hello! Thank you for your compliments! sorry for the delay in replying. To adjust the intensity and speed of the midi note you have to enter and configure for each drum pad inside the mps 850 control unit

Hi, the hit-hat works great on all its nuances, it is clear however that it is not an acoustic-traditional hit-hat so you need to do some practice to get the optimal dynamics, we must always think that we are playing a electronic battery from 600 euros. However, this is connected with USB to a Mac with logic pro x and with the Superior drummer plug-in and the dynamics are totally different from the Millenium control unit. @@marcogalliazzodrums Many thanks for that. I had a Roland TD-3 in the past and I remember having to adjust my timing when opening and closing the hi-hats at fast tempos due to a bit of lag, which was unfortunate.

Do the toms also have the rim programmable? I used to have a very cheap e-drum where I placed the splash and china on the rims of the tom 1 and tom 2

Can you help me, please? I bought the same drum kit last week. It works fine but when i connect the drums with cakewalk and use sd3 or ezdrummer, sometimes the pads trigger some strange samples... in some cases when i play the snare pad, it works fine but randomly it plays a kick or a tom sample... do you know how to solve this problem?? In the video are you conecting the drums to your daw using the usb port or with the midi out?? Tks

I'd guess the rim of the snare triggers a different midi note than the pad itself. You should be able to adjust the output MIDI note in the settings of the module.

Im having The same problem. And I noticed in this vídeo that on 00:39 you can hear a Crash cymbal When he didnt hit that pad! So Im worried that is a problem of this series 850 ; / tomorrow I m sending Back To thomann.

Hi, absolutely yes, obviously I don't play the "stoner" every day but I guarantee you that you save a lot on sticks that would be ruined by the cymbals. Good sound good music!

Hey man, i have a question. Maybe some questions. When i use reaper with superior drummer, i set midi in and midi out and superior drummer recognizes the hits in the pad and makes sound, but the problema is that the sound comes out of the computer, and not out of the speakers that the drums are connected to. It does not change the sound of the drums, only makes sound on the computer. Shouldnt the midi out make it sound through the speakers where the module is connected through? Hope you understand me. Thanks!

Midi data does not carry sound with it, you could send out midi grooves to use your module’s sound processor, but that would be the opposite of what you need. I just have my headphones to my interface and listen through it not from the module.

Hello and thanks! yes of course, you can separate all the tracks individually. Inside superior drummer you can get separate outputs to direct to logic or decide on stereo.

Hi, sure it's easy to assign trigger-pads with Superior drummer in Logicx: you have to select "e-drum" in the preferences panel. and then if you wish you can change the midi note of the desired instrument.

Hi Marco, have you ever compared the 850 kit with ezdrummer? I also have 850 and thinking about using ezdrummer also. I think the 850 presets are a weak spot. Will ezdrummer improve the produced sound?

Hello, sure! take the usb output on the back of the millenium mps850 control unit and connect it to the usb input of the laptop. You must have a musical program like Logic or Cubase or others installed inside the laptop and assign the correct midi channel (10). I hope it could help you. HI!
