It's not very surprising that Leonid would know a professional throat singer. Russia extends all the way to the East Asia. On the road from Europe, it extends past ALL the areas that use throat singing, especially the Republic of Tuva, which borders Mongolia. The Mongolians also practice throat singing, as do the Chinese in northern China. This song is a masterpiece. What a groove; you've got to love that 5/4 groove throughout the song.

Obviously studio musicianship by all members! We just saw them live last week and were not dissatisfied by their performance, even though it was live and only 11 members! Can't get enough of them, particularly, The Speck of Dust.

Hey Jon and Dolly, I also loved this song the first time I heard it. Every member of Leonid and Friends is ridiculously talented and I can verify that they sound this good live in concert. I've seen them twice at a Massachusetts venue during two of their tours of America. Their lead vocalist Serge (dark hair and beard) was the only member from Ukraine, but as you mentioned in a previous video, he had to leave the band to take of his family after sociopath Putin's illegal invasion of Ukraine. Every member of the band is super nice and the last time I saw them live, they made an announcement that related their absolute disapproval of the policies of the Russian government, but they did it in a "tactful" way (probably so they would be let back into Russia!).

We should never categorize great artists. A true artist can translate all emotions either into music, painting, theater, etc. The artist makes us feel emotions. The more his emotions are translated into universal language, the more universal (let's say global for the moment) fame the artist will have... I think.
