Your average English F&C is quick as it sits under a heat lamp so I've found them tasteless and greasy. Also the fish is 60% batter. I like F&C in NZ and AU, its fresh (you wait for it to be cooked) and the fish is huge meaty and tasty. Different strokes for different folks.
@jixuscrixus19675 жыл бұрын
In my experience the ‘quieter’ fish and chip shops cook in advance and the end product can be sitting under heat lamps for however long it takes the next customer to order. The more popular/busier fish and chip shops sell cooked to order, and there is a difference. If you can find a popular/busy fish and chip shop (preferably busy because of their reputation rather than their location) then it’s worth the wait.
