Do YOU think there are 6 meter crocodiles still out there?
@Pete_R636 ай бұрын
I'd rather not think about it! Haha. I can't believe I got here a couple minutes after you uploaded- only because I just got back from Bonaire and am unpacking. I wonder if you could have found any megalodon shark teeth, or did that location dry out before the megs were around.

I've been to NT, Agusan Marsh where Lolong was caught, Sarawak in Borneo but the most impressive place for average crocodile size was Bhitarkanika National Park India. Obviously I couldn't measure any but once we left the edges where smaller crocs hang out and into the core of the park, we saw at least 7 crocs in 2 hours. No exaggeration but the smallest one was probably 12 ft and the rest 4 metres plus with huge heads. Saw one eating a water buffalo it had caught and the boss croc known locally as Kalia on a bank, he's an absolute submarine. I tried to film him in landscape on my phone and struggled to get full body in picture!

Top End Crocodile Service is good to you and good to the crocs! Very informative guide that Brodie! . Cave systems! Exposed ancient reefs? That is SO cool! . As always, I'm fascinated by the exotic (to me) terrain. I love the water-worn rocks along the creek. . Thank you for taking us underwater with you! That little croc under the rock, underwater, was so cute. . Night-walks are great-walks. Love the pure water and its clarity in the flashlight (torch light 🙂). . Freshwater crocs have such unusual long narrow snouts. . Interesting to learn about mating season and nesting season. The imprints in the mud are awesome and really tell the crocs' stories when you can interpret them like you and your guide Brodie do. . Brodie has a good explanation of croc size, being very realistic about what defines a "big" croc in north Queensland. Heck, 4 meters is still HUGE and would be so exciting to see. . That swamp ecosystem is fascinating. So much variety in Australia. And that big croc in the clear swamp water seen from above, just cruisin' along, and the bigger one in the vegetation. Wow. . Those final scenes -- LOVE! And the soundtrack music throughout was perfect. . Miller -- THANK YOU for putting so much time and effort into making these videos. I (WE the whole world) SO appreciate it.

That was real interesting my dudes! I doubt there’s another place on earth with as many saltwater crocodiles as the top end of Australia. There are some big ones that have been reliably measured across the pond there in New Guinea. The Fly River one comes to mind but twenty feet or 6 meters, give or take, seems to be about the max size. Greetings from Florida, USA, only place with both crocs and alligators (and a few loose caiman) swimming around. Although our crocs are downright friendly compared to yours.

1971 was the ban on crocodile hunting, but crocodiles live 100 plus years old, so if there as a 50 year old croc that was alive during the hunting and was super smart by now, it will know to never be in seen by boats, and has probably been shot at multiple times, :( [ be careful not to get stuck up a river with an electric motor running out of batteries or bring a spare min petrol, your chances will be higher to see the massive ones, but also they will hear the electric whine too so anybodies guess if ya can sneak up on the gigantic ones ]
