When I saw the size of that croc on the trailer i sat open mouthed. It's Jst a pity that humans are ever encroaching on the habitat's of these majestic animals. Then someone gets attacked. I don't blame the animal. Millions of years of instinct whispering into ur ear would be a hard thing to ignore. Theoretically, left to time and nature, how large could a croc grow?

Marco from Mareeba. Just watched your video with the brief story (19min mark) about my attack in 2021. Good work, keep spreading that message. Regards, Marco

Fun fact there used to be so far known at least four species of crocodile that used to live in Australia 40,000 years ago, such as the semi aquatic paludirex vincenti, and paludirex gracilis. Both had larger armored scutes compared to modern saltwater crocs and had a broader snout with larger teeth and growing to about about 5 to 6m . And the other two Species were fully terrestrial land dwelling crocodiles that could gallop like a horse with long limbs and a broad tall snout with ziphodont dentition like theropod dinosaurs such as allosaurus, and got to 20 foot and fed on diprotodon. Called quinkana fortirostum, and the other is a yet unnamed spends that has yet to be formally described and the paper on its fossils has yet to be published. And regarding your Borneo expedition which Was awesome to see those species, but also is home to four crocodile distinct species of croc m as well such as the salt water crocodile, Malayan gharial, Siamese crocodile, and Borneo crocodile, scientific name of the Borneo crocodile is crocodylus raninus. The individuals that showed you the crocs also had a single Borneo crocodile living with the saltwater crocodiles, it’s smaller in size and more armor different coloration and other distinct cranial features and in skull morphology, it was for sure briefly seen in 18:00 in your part 1 of Borneo trip. And lastly on New Caledonia and Vanuatu islands had a small tree climbing and fully terrestrial land dwelling mekosuchine crocodiles called mekosuchus. Was living around only about a couple thousand year ago. Also it’s still very possible it still exists on remote unexplored islands in the South Pacific and New Guinea.

Through your vids I am still able to experience the wildness and beauty of this continent. Thank you. And crocodiles are one of the most stunning creatures. Yolngu from Arnhem told me that the kids are told not to swim in the sea during high tide as it is more likely for crocs to swim close to the shore. Are you living in the NT now?
