How long was the machining time?

Hi Villu It took around 6 and a half hours.

Holy moly. Can you take deeper cut? I don't know your spindle power, but when I started about a year ago, then I was machining with wrong parameters. I recently took a cam and old part what I machined and changed my parameters to what I know now. Machine time dropped 3.40 hour to 30 minutes, just changing my tool. My first tool data was way too low. And if I changed process to what I know now, I got it to 8 minutes. My first mistake was to take low depth cut and alot side cut. Actually it should be opposite, full cutting length depth and low side cut. Take a look datron cutting tool advice, there is cataloge for them, where is feeds and speeds. It opened hole new world to me. Maybe it will help you too. Nice work by the way! (Y)

@@Villu111 Thank you. I have played around with all the parameters as well with no references. I had a few startup issues where the feed was to fast and the side load too high. This machine has very light duty stepper motors and I am on the limit here. I use a lot of cutting oil to smoothen the blow.
