In general he could have stopped whenever he wanted to. Real homeless people can't just stop, they have no cushion to fall into when they just can't go on anymore. The mindset that this puts you in is totally different.

@@Goldenmaskduetsa cushy house would protect you from being lit on fire, being assaulted by strangers, being r@ped by strangers. In a cushy house you could fight family off with weapons inside the house, you can’t do that when you are homeless. You can lock yourself in a room and call 911 and hope they get there on time. You can’t do that when homeless. There are worse things then homelessness and those worse things happen to the homeless people. At least you got a bed to sleep on after those traumatizing events, carpet, not when you are homeless though.

Exactly, and he even exploits cheap labor from a guy on fiverr and had other people pay his rent for him too. He literally can't get by without exploiting people, but made this video trying to say that anyone can become rich, as if the people he exploited along the way somehow don't count. Like, sure, let's all scam others into paying our rent, there's surely nobody going to end up on the bottom end of that situation.

The rental and a "recently met" co-signer part had me livid as here in FL you have to prove you make 2-3.5x the rent, have good credit and pass the non-refundable background check to even be considered. Then if picked you have to pay 1st month rent and often a security deposit which can be more than the 1st month rent so it's like a mini down payment yet still in the thousands. So lower income families often already have to lie and forge info to get a rental but this guy just happened to find a random co-signer to bypass all of this....HOW?!!

I was homeless in my Sophomore and Junior Year in Highschool at 17. You really see the world for what it is when you and your mom are staying at friends houses while they sell all kinds of Drugs to pay the Rent and to put FOOD on the Table, hell even buying Food from the Dollar Menu of McFUCKINGDonalds just to fill your stomach (-_-). Once you go day to day as a KID struggling to find a place to sleep or something to eat and get rid of your stomach pain, and have had to fend for yourself when no adult is there to defend you THEN you TRULLY know what it is to be homeless, scared, and HOPEless (:"/) I've seen more drugs in my TEENS than I have in my Adult life. *I've also been stabbed in my left Forearm blocking a Knife going towards my Neck (._.) ...that was also in my teens. I've also been in a situation where another Kid from my HighSchool, (who was noticeably Taller than me) flashed a Gun in his belt at me when I told him to Get tha fuck away from me and my Girlfriend.* Then his 3 other friends chased us around the Apartments till She and I got to her apartment. Then, no more than a few minutes after we told her Parents about what happened, we heard 4 Gunshots from a smaller caliber pistol just outside. That guy was firing shots in the air to terrorize us (._.). Luckily no one got hurt... but that was teens being stupid, EVEN TEENS/MINORS CAN EASILY ACCESS FIREARMS in America.... *THAT FACT ALONE SHOULD SHOW JUST HOW SCARY HOMELESSNESS REALLY IS IF KIDS CAN OBTAIN FIREARMS LIKE A FUCKING HAPPY MEAL DOWN THE STREET (:/)!* At 1 of my Moms friends house who sold drugs, they had a Muscular Pitbull with a Tiger pattern and he used to be abused as a younger dog, so he did NOT like people maintaining eye contact, and if you stared at him for more than a few seconds he'd start growling verrrrry slowwwly. Well my stupid ass decided it'd be a smart idea to befriend the Pitbull, and once I did he would try to sleep next to me on the Couch I slept on. It got pretty scary considering this dog was like a time bomb that could go off any minute, so since I grew up watching Animal planet as a kid, I knew predators instinctively go for the neck/jugular, and *so I started sleepin with 1 hand covering MY NECK JUST IN CASE SO I DON'T GET MY THROAT BIT AND RIPPED OUT BY A PSYCHOTIC PITBULL AND DIE IN MY SLEEP, THIS WAS AT AGE 16 (-_-)!* My Mom and I were later kicked out of THAT HOUSE cause that friend was a bitch, and we slept on the Curb waiting for our ride. *This country is one of the WORST COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD! America boasts itself as the best Country, yet we have the HIGHEST amount of PRISONERS IN THE WORLD, AND ARE 1 OF THE MOST VIOLENT COUNTRIES ON THE PLANET, EVEN OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT MURDERS US PLUS OUR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM TAKES EVERY LAST BIT OF MONEY FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT FOR EVEN A SIMPLE CHECK-UP (:/)!* *IMAGINE NOW BEING HOMELESS AS A TEEN, YOU'VE BEEN STABBED IN THE ARM, YOU'VE BEEN INTIMIDATED BY ANOTHER TEEN WITH A FIREARM, AND YOU CAN'T TRUST THE POLICE BECAUSE THEY CAN KILL YOU ALSO (:/) AND THEN TO BE JAILED FOR MISSING SCHOOL DUE TO HOMELESSNESS ALL AT AGE 16-17!* This Millionaire doesn't know the slightest bit of the HARSH REALITIES of this World. He DIDN'T even SLEEP on the Streets 1 DAY in that video. That guy can take his money and SHOVE IT UP HIS ASS! *Also, you know he's bullshiting in this video cause the guy never ONCE showed a video of him EATING! HOW DID HE GET HIS FOOD? WHERE DID HE GET IT? HOW OFTEN DID HE SKIP A MEAL (:/)? HOW OFTEN HAS HE HAD TO STEAL FOOD? HOW OFTEN HAS HIS LIFE ACTUALLY BEEN IN DANGER?? NEVERMIND THE FACT THAT HE NEVER WAS IN FEAR FOR HIS LIFE FROM HUMAN CONFLICT, OR NEVER EXPERIENCED STREET VIOLENCE (-_-)!*

Been homeless 6 yrs.....always had a phone and internet......it's about all you can afford till you get your snap benefit. Was in a car in Chicago......hassled by cops sleeping in car no heat winter was 30 degrees below zero. Took any job I could cleaning gutters carpets. Went back to construction got ripped off by contractors but saved 1200.00. Was able to by a shitty van and then was able to camp and do a harvest job.....still no place to shower. Now I had a van and left Chicago for west coast. Jobs are inconsistent and on a treadmill with temp agencies. Sold shitty van and found a nicer RV conversion van. Now have chronic anxiety depression and PTSD. Not a junky or tweeked either. 6yrs total homeless still in RV van trying to find consistent work. I am better off have to use social services to now find consistent employment. But with the amount of debt even with bankruptcy......I will never be able to afford an apartment at 1200.00 per month.......I am 53. That dude can hang with me for a month.

What I hate most about these guys is their “I’m just a normal guy and I’m super rich, so why can’t everyone be super rich like me they just need to work harder!” But if everyone did what you did, you’d be equally as poor as they were, there’s not room in this society for everyone to be millionaires and there’s not that much opportunity. These guys are smart, often times have way more opportunity than other people, are luckier than average, maybe don’t have kids to raise or health issues and everything else. Even if everyone was exactly like them, it wouldn’t allow for everyone to be as rich as they are. It’s just a fallacy, that gets perpetuated by videos like this and “How to get rich” videos. It's easy to hate on the Rich or the Poor but both of them aren't really that different in terms of trying to understand them. And yes everyone is capable of getting out of a sticky situation if you have the brains to do it and like woman that goes from being a stripper to being a stripper online that's a big level up "Resourceful" or a drug pusher to a drug king pin and if you make a bad choice of being a snitch ohhhh boy "Bad Decision", that's rough right there but yeah you got it made IF you even make it. There's good upbringing and there's bad upbringing and unfortunate people are OFTEN exposed to how dangerous the world can be without the security a good upbringing provides and actually the homeless stay homeless just coz they just don't even try anymore and just try to live one day at a time and not really about poor decisions or bad judgement, it's the total lack of decisions and judgement that keeps them homeless.

I have never been homeless, and I recently started down the road of daily anxiety attacks because I was worried about losing my job for a mistake I made with a customer, and knowing it would be super hard to get hired without a reference from this job, basically the only I've had in my job history for nine years. I can't even grasp coping, mentally and physically (the anxiety interacts with/caused blood pressure and migraine problems) with that while having that actual trauma of living without shelter. I'm wishing all the best for you, friend.

Man, this skit was so disrespectful to homeless people. This "Millionaire becoming homeless for fun" stuff is completely devoid of reality. Homelessness can't be solved if people magically pull up with an RV fitted with food and running water. Also, how did the supposed homeless man in the video have health care? Overall, those people are quite cynical and undoubtably believe homelessness is a consequence of the individual rather than situation presented to them.

The fundamental issue the person is mission is the mental and emotional state of an average homeless person. He had the comfort, security, and back up of knowing he's been a millionaire and knows how to get 1,000,000. A lot of homeless people are not former wealthy or well off people, in fact many of them are just a step or two down from where they have financially been for years. So no, homeless people aren't gonna have 1 and a million ways (from personal experience) to make money. And the added mental and emotional detriment caused by being homeless is something he doesn't have experience with. So he already has the experience and connections of a millionaire, something most people don't have, of course it'd be much easier for him to be a millionaire, he already knows how the game's played. And if he was really being homeless, that video gear would've been stolen. It's hard for homeless people not to get their coats and shit taken which is why so many of them carry their shit on them where they go, even in warmer weather. And he put his agenda and millionaire status online, which gives him access to people who want to be a part of the project by aiding him

I was homeless for a long time, but I always counted myself *incredibly* lucky that I at least had a shitty car to sleep in and a river to bathe in. That's how I was able to get out of it, a lot of the friends I made were not so fortunate. That's why I now dedicate my time to helping people that were in my situation but have fewer things to pull them out of it. This guy is disgusting.

Lists of things he took day one into the "homelessness experiment" besides the few cents in his personal checking account, the clothes on his back, an expensive smartphone that probably has unlimited data and is more functional than any publicly accessible computer, and a backpack full of camera equipment: A resume of high paying jobs/financial ventures that only a millionaire could have Stable mental and physical health and no addictions A fresh haircut, perfect dental health with whitened teeth Shower with cologne No nerves or effect on his disposition because he knows there's absolutely zero risk in this "experiment" Draw to potential craigslist hosts (supposing the RV guy wasn't entirely staged) because of your production crew and promise of being in a big youtube video

A couple of things to remember, not only does he find "strangers" who give him shelter and co-sign a property (on top of a job with no address), but he spent 250k to make 64k, so if a regular person did this they'd be 186k in debt.

I gotta say, on the road to homelessness and sleeping rough, you burn a lot of bridges with your local community. You likely have debts to multiple big organisations, are blacklisted from rental agencies and local businesses. If you're getting 3 job interviews from 10 job applications, you're not experiencing the same homelessness as other people at all. How is he even shaving consistently? What the fuck.

I think the real version of this concept could be interesting to watch. A "clinical trial" in the capitalist system if you will. Place a group of self-made millionaires and a control group of regular joes into a new country without telling anyone where they go and where nobody knows any of them. Equip them only with vlog cameras and an emergency means of communication in case they want to admit defeat, and ban all communications to old contacts. Keep the test running for a year or two and see who makes it millionaire. Even with the massive advantage the self-made rich would have from knowing the inside and outs of running a business, I still doubt much more than a few of them would make it, and I would not be surprised if few people from the control group would find a way to make it too.

Yea he luckily got shelter with water early into his 'homelessness' so lower chance of mental issues setting in and no physical ones. He luckily got that same person to lend him a car for a delivery business, luckily got to rent a place with no real deposit or credit history, luckily didn't get arrested or at least kicked out for his 'rent hack', somehow had the money for an experienced team to start his business. Then in the end gave up due to health problems that, financially, he could handle.

Well-fed to start, not in debt to start, healthy, groomed, etc. Not to mention he had a great life to fall back on, so the stakes weren't real. He could not feel the absolute desperation some people feel when they have nowhere to go and no safety net, no network, no family or friends. He could not feel the hunger pains so strong it makes you nauseous and unable to eat. He could not feel the claws on his neck when the next bill hit, taking all of his earnings and more - he couldn't feel the hurt when the next health problem came up and he couldn't work, losing more. He couldn't even make it a year - he pussied out.
