@MotoCouple women also work physical labour jobs. Instead of making it about men maybe just anyone that works a physical labour job? And I definitely think some jobs are “easier” regarding skill, how much you have to think etc. but aren’t necessarily easier overall because you get yelled at by someone the whole time, it’s physically uncomfortable, or even so goddamn mind numbingly boring that doing it for 8 hours is almost torture. So “easyness” is relative and I don’t think people can comment unless they’ve worked all these jobs and even then something that’s easy for one person might not be easy for another.

what i think a lot of people really got upset with is how « amount of effort put in » to « amount of money paid » for influencers is quite different than for other jobs. for example, a medical worker obviously works and studies much harder than a tiktoker, but receives a pay that is not even comparable to influencers’ pay. so from this perspective hearing someone say making tiktoks is harder than other jobs seems ridiculous tbh

No hate to either of them, truly, their not doing it intentionally, its just a fact. I see a lot of larger YTers do react vids were they don't look up all the info. Also Im curious why many YTers will bandwagon hate. Being a long looong time fan of PDP, I know he's done this many times, but I know its not malicious. Kinda like when on his YLYL he dunked on a deaf girl for her signing w long nails w out knowing she's deaf. IMO worst of all...he sided with James Charles in Tati drama _shiver_ (jk). He even played games with him! Ick. That aged poorly. I'm not trying to shit talk btw, Im just adding small constructive criticism on how PDP cld read some quick articles (like cliffnotes lol), maybe watch a recap YT vid or something, anything. (* btw if you think I'm angry I'm not :) just hard to see PDP not know the full story and judge other ppl online as a fan). I sww a TT and Im Pretty sure (not 1p0% sure) this vid is from when she first quit Ukta and started her influencer career. Of course she isn't good at and overwhelmed if that's the case lol.

I'm a hospice nurse. Everyone says they could never do it, it must be hard. Based on my experience as a nurse it's not. I did take the move to travel nursing because I'll be paid a lot more for my effort. It won't be me getting paid poorly and the system relying on compassion for me to be okay with the pay I get. Everytime I hear people in healthcare say you don't do it for the money I don't really understand because how many healthcare workers you really think will show up for free? We need money just like anyone else. Inflation affects us too.

At least in my experience, when someone says they couldn't do something like hospice care, they mean it would break them down emotionally. Power to you though
@SwiftyFerret2 жыл бұрын
@@MongoTheMagnificent666 I did not word it correctly. It is not hard for ME, not everyone. Nearly every job in nursing is hard and will wear you down emotionally. Basically the healthcare system relies on nurses that will work for poor pay and in a poor environment because they care. They are expected to work without breaks and over the time they are supposed to leave. Your bonus is a pat on the back, the healthcare heros sign, and a pizza party. Which leads to compassion fatigue or burnout. The reason a lot of nurses take travel jobs to have more freedom, more pay, and better benefits. Maybe this is a bit more organized. I'm usually a better writer I swear. lol

That causes conflict so I’m left having to act like I’m their teacher saying shit like “Am I going to have to call security?” with a look of disappointment. Act like a toddler, get treated like one. Let me tell you that the average customer service employee works harder that a lot of influencers have in their entire life. That’s not to say there are challenges to both but I find it humours that people like this think that they somehow are working so much harder than everyone else when they aren’t. I think we can measure people's jobs on three scales: value of the person, socioeconomic value, and realized financial value. Comparing a nurse and a TikTok influencer, both of them are of equal value in terms of their actual lives. Both lives are indeed sacred. Socioeconomically, a nurse provides larger amounts of utility to the society than an influencer. However, the latter has higher (by a large margin) realized financial value, since they earn more.

I think it’s okay to voice your stresses and cons to literally whatever job you have, even if it’s to an audience that makes you all of your money. But there’s a way to go about it, I think transparency is valuable but you can be transparent while still being grateful and preface what you’re saying with self awareness about the fact that you know you’re privileged and blessed, but at the end of the day we’re all human and feel the way we feel about the position we’re in. It’s when creators just nag nag nag about relatively way easier hardships than the majority of the world when it becomes out of touch.

She also has her own brand of beauty stuff in Sephora. Those meetings are more then likely stuff like that. She's making it seem like being a "influencer" is all she does and how hard it is. She has also had loads of brand deal as well. I don't follow her page of make up crap, but it always seems to find me on Tiktok, but that's how I know. To be honest any job can be difficult at times and long. BUT being a influencer, you get to make ur own hours and at least She's doing what she loves and she gets told how good she is. How many people working hard in a job where they don't get to make their own hours and get paid by a corporation that cares only about themselves, get told " oh you're doing so good, you are amazing , here have some free stuff and take our amazing deal " Come on with this poor me bullshi*! Love your page btw Ken!

I love that PewDiePie doesn’t like talking about money at all. He looked so uncomfortable when toast was talking about how much he makes.
