I subscribed to his channel. I will watch his videos. He has trauma from his childhood. His parents likely grew up poor and he felt they kept him from enjoying some luxuries growing up and is now spoiling himself recklessly. I have faith he will pull it together and his financial position will change drastically for the better in the next 18 months.

Subprime++. He didn't get abused. He wanted something he could not afford. The market dictated that rate for someone who's defaulted umpteen times on everything else, probably including an Auto Repooession. You act like a idiot with finances, you will get hosed like an idiot. He obviously hasn't learned his lessons either.

I enjoyed the bit about helping yourself before you can help others. That is one thing that is to get across to people. Especially if it is a person who naturally considers themselves to be generous. Empathy is good but don't throw yourself into the pit of debt. Because if you do, you won't be able to help anyone once you're broke.
