This topic reminds me of what happened to the band Badfinger in the 70's. They were a very good group that had several big hits and were even praised by The Beatles as having a very bright future. Unfortunately, they also had a very crooked and greedy manager and while they were so focused on their music,he was focused on stealing their money. At some point the members of the band began to suspect foul play, but their sleezy manager had fled from the UK to the US where he was basically out of legal reach for criminal charges. The biggest tragedy was that when the band discovered they had been robbed of millions of dollars they were so distraught that two members of the band hung themselves.
@akfreed6949

It wasn't just their manager . Warner Bros ripped them off with a million dollar contract . They wanted to make another record and Apple Records were in the middle of the Beatles break-up . Warner Bros offered them a million dollar contract , which sounds good BUT they didn't read their contract . The million dollars was to pay for everything : studio time to make the record and whatever is left over they would have use to pay for their own promotion and touring costs . This was on some documentary on free streaming .

@@francishunt562 They had a fight around 1946. Lou fired a maid and Bud hired her. I recently heard the maid was the one who was suppose to be watching Lou's 1 year old son but left him in the crib outside to do something. The baby was able to get out of the crib, fell into their swimming pool and drowned. I don't know if that part is accurate. Anyway they wouldn't talk to each other. If you watch two of their movies, Little Giant and A Time of their Lives, they didn't play as a team, esp. A Time of their Lives. Lou was the comic and Bud was the supporting actor (he was actually very good in that movie). They made up after a club for boys was built by them and Abbott said that they should name it after Lou's son.

During 80s-90s, Trump's 'business bankruptcy' model: 1. Make a big fuss with his brand name to draw in investors' and bank loans to acquire and reinnovate the company 2. Liquidate acquired company asset to his associated legal entities 3. After syphoning company assets bone dry, file business bankruptcy to stiff investors and banks. That's how Trump got notorious "Don The Con" nickname. No American banks would loan Trump "business" a penny. Then, Trump started in early 2000s to get involved with laundering money for Russian mob to keep his brand name alive, and eventually got absorbed as a Russian asset to be installed into the WH.
