Audie Murphy was broke at the time of his death too.

I have a request.. when you speak about finances in the last could you maybe tell us what that is equal to in todays money? $5 million to owe in taxes is a lot but I think the viewers would be surprised if we knew how much it was in todays money. Just a suggestion ❤

You don't "go broke" because someone stole all your money. You were robbed. To "go broke" you have to spend or mismanage your money horribly.

Plus, calling Peggy "dumb" because a trusted relative (Peggy's grandfather, of all people) betrayed and robbed her when she was a small child is downright cruel.

Excuse me, but Sammy Davis jr passed away in May 1990. I know this because I was a couple of days into Navy boot camp when it was announced at 0430 "You need to pull your heads out of your [butts] and wake up and smell the roses! Don't you know that Sammy Davis jr, Jill Ireland, and Jim Henson died?!" There wasn't a dry eye that morning. I'll never forget it. That said, out of respect for Sammy, correct the date of his passing. Thanks.

And his last wife was not the woman showed in the video. He was married to a Black woman when he died.

I think one reason people like that go broke is because they are not prepared for that kind of money they bring in.

Sometimes, even when stars hire managers, the taxes are not paid. Sometimes the money is siphoned off by family members, agents, managers or free-loading friends. Then too, some stars really live large and do not consider that the good times and stardom won't last forever.

@@here_we_go_again2571 You are right, I forgot the part where others take advantage of the situation by being guardians over other peoples money. Thank you.

When celebs become famous so many don't understand money and have agents who cheat them family members treat the money as theirs and the ebb and flow of earning is a challenge one day they make alot but then they may hit a lull. Hollywood also is a luxurious town to houses , wardrobe, cars and lifestyle is very pricey. Money is like jellybeans. You think there's a lot but in a few days the jar is empty. Saving your own money is a must. There is no pension. Drugs and partying don't help.
@ahrenb33932 жыл бұрын
Wtf!!! Quincy Jones is worth hella money….i hate when celebrities ask for donations or do benefit concerts like you have the money-just pay it instead of asking people of lower income to do it. I never understood that
@danicafilipic31212 жыл бұрын
It's not being dumb. It's that if you made money from your look's and talent, then you get too old. You are no longer wanted by Hollywood. Why wouldn't one become depressed! One has their hey day in the public eye. The illusion of fame and celebrity can't always remain due to ageing.
