Try a single flute end mill - you can push it way harder than this and without the chatter or coolant.

This was the maiden aluminum voyage on the new Power Route Plus. It can definitely go harder. The piece came out essentially perfect to model with these settings. Further, a 3 flute is actually preferable if you have adequate cooling. On our production mills using flood coolant we run high helix 3 flutes at really, really high feeds.

Can you share feed speeds and what RPM you had the router running? Maybe a link to the bit being used? I have done a but of aluminum but am always hesitant to dig too deep and load the motors (travel and router) more than they should be.

Faced at 1300mm/min. Bored and cleared at 800mm/min. All ran about 14k rpm.
