I worked at a retail store and the manager that trained me was a black guy in his 30s and grew up like me and ALOT of others during that time. We discussed how the 90s type of parenting style continued into the late 2000s when he trained me for black families until laws started cracking down on hitting your kids. Black parents got more strick because if they didn't? They would turn out like the White families we saw come in everyday. The white families embraced all the science and laws and the parents got soft as hell and the kids walked ALL over them. This type of parenting raised children and trained parents to be polar opposites in society and view each other starkly different. I hear it everyday and people try to Bullshit their way through their rationalizations of them. Black Adults grew up being more outgoing especially in the late 2010s and 2020s and White Adults were more secluded in their own pocketed communities and enclosed social groups like high school cliques. I could easily use my county as an example of that. In both these cases, fear grew for each other because they saw each other as a threat for handling the world differently. It turned out it's fear of difference. So everyone just stayed in their corner and stopped handling issues like grown ass adults. If there was mingling (Liberals for example) it would usually be for a specific cause and they would be taking on a "Pet" to further that cause. If you step out of line? Back to the group they are assuming you came from. I'm not saying this is everyone, but I'm saying it's enough to fuel the issues we have today and the media knows it and fuel it like a forest fire.
