Great video.NO MORE PUMPING! And no more crunching. It is a totally active trail side dominant swing with a reactive lead side. Fantastic! I call it my downswing right shoulder under/right knee bending towards my target golf swing with a built in honey hole. It opens my body immediately and almost feels like I am bowling my ball to let it go to my target. And at 75 it is easy 😊

I like this video but I am bit confused based on your other video of How To Hit Irons Pure And LOW. Should we be letting the angle go or holding it? It seems like most PGA players have a bent right arm at contact. By letting the handle release prior to impact it seems like the spinloft would go up substantially with less compression (as illustrated in How To Hit Irons Pure And LOW)? Can you please explain? Thanks

Is this concept essentially lead wrist going into extension versus a roll release? When do you feel the release, P5?

These videos are great, thanks. Can you please discuss the adjustments if they are different than the typical driver changes? With irons, the weight of the club head releases the hands naturally if my wrists are loose. With driver, the club head doesn't feel as heavy and it tends not to release / throw on its own. Also, does the release need to happen earlier if the club is longer? Thanks

@@johnnysanchez4996 that’s not his exact quote. Here is the exact quote that golf instructors love to mis quote. “It's impossible to release the club too early in the downswing -- as long as you move to your left side and swing the club from inside the target line.”

Milo, these few videos with Riley really helped me out. The Live Lession with David was also amazing. At first the flexion-rotate method felt kind of weird because I would usually hit the ground behind the ball. But I used all your cues and bombed what was probably my further-ever drive on the 18th of my local course. The sun retreated behind clouds rolling in from the west, so I didn't see it after I hit it, but I just stared straight down the fairway and eventually saw the tiniest white dot fall. It was a great feeling to finally have a swing that felt right-on. How do you know whether instructors are flexion-rotate vs extension-tilt? Is there like some kind of philosophy association that you guys are a part of? Wish I could find a coach that was as cool as you guys, lol.

Glad you’re getting the hang of the athletic rotational swing. No association but maybe someday a list of recommendations across the country.

So in summary and this is just to make sure I was understanding correctly, Henry was holding on to his wrists angles thru the ball versus having soft wrists and letting them release naturally during the downswing?

@@MiloLinesGolf Fantastic video. Two quick questions---is this kind of a "horizontal release" of the wrists using the body to make it happen? You seem to demo this at :45 sec when you say "....let the weight of the club......" and then again around 2:20 when you go to the front of the hitting bay. Unfortunately Henry was blocking the view. Second question: I get the around the body, and it feels very silky smooth. How does one get divots this way? (unless i am misinterpreting the whole thing). Seems more a sweep than a hitting down motion? Getting good compression with irons is a problem of mine. Does the weight of club with soft wrist lead to ulnar movement? Or as Riley says you have to make it happen?
@temporarystranger95
@temporarystranger95 2 жыл бұрын
So basically you are advocating a “flap” release with the right hand in order to let the club go and yet maintain face stability? Thank you for sharing these videos! 👊👊

I can’t emphasize how important low tension in the wrist and shoulders is at the start of the downswing. You just want to let your hands float at the top and then fall down. Once they begin to fall you pivot.
