This was enjoyable to watch! I've always been a fan of watching Abbot & Costello, Martin & Lewis, Crosby & Astaire, Three Stooges, Marx Brothers, and Laurel & Hardy. All of these performers, in their prime, were before my time. The humor then was much cleaner and had more of an innocence. I can't believe I never heard of The Ritz Brothers before now. Thank you poster for giving me something else to look up for added entertainment from a sadly gone era.

Just learned of them tonight.....and have been watching all their films and bits. They were the pioneers to Lewis, Kaye, etc...

Uncle Milton tryin' to run the show, but Ritz Brothers slapped back! Harry's bumbling, tumbling bowling strike was unforgettably hilarious!!!

Physical comedians need the same excellent coordination and reflexes as a professional athlete. That roll was amazing.

Sadly not remembered by many today, The Ritz Brothers were a major attraction of the day, appearing in numerous big budget film musicals, particularly for 20th Century-Fox. They definitely are the zaniest trio ever. They even make The Three Stooges look like pillars sophistication!

Uncle Miltie a superstar of earliest tv in 1948 with his Texaco Star Theatre, reduced to hosting a bowling show just 13 years later here in 61...its always a case of what have you done for me lately...

"Celebrity Bowling Starring Milton Berle" debuted on NBC-TV September 19, 1960 and run until March 1961. Each telecast featured two professional bowlers competing in a nine-frame match, the winner receiving $1,000. Berle would open with a brief monologue and then add comic bits throughout. Besides The Ritz Brothers, Steve Allen and Desi Arnaz also rolled a few. Bart Andrews provides the details in his THE WORST TV SHOWS EVER (Dutton, 1980).
