Awesome! I need to get another pc , used to fly with Microsoft FS back in earlier 2000s, my Grandfather had a 310 back in the 60s and would fly up from Corpus to North Texas and pick us up and take us back for the summer, I just remember sitting in my Mom’s lap , fun times

I love this plane. I find it best to approach on blue line all the way to the threshold and the only when a few feet above the the runway start reducing power and pulling back gradually. If you loose an engine below blue line you are committed to landing. If it you loose one engine below blue line on rotation or initial climb out you are dead. The power of the remaining engine will turn the airplane upside down, so you have to keep your hands on the throttle. The bad part is that even if you reduce throttle in time, being under blue line you will loose airspeed so fast that you suddenly become a rock. There is no way to arrest that sudden descend on this airplane because the elevator has no authority whatsoever below 110 knots or so. You will loose 400-600 ft of altitude in less than 20 seconds. You're going down hard. So blue line is a most at all stages of flight. You can slip below blue line when a few feet (1ft-10ft AGL) above the runway on landing. That's about it.

This has become my favorite GA plane (by a mile) in MSFS 2020, and your video was probably the most comprehensive (especially about leaning) while also being efficient. Thanks!

Great video. Thanks. Many years ago, I went to work for an FBO at my hometown airport (KEVV) after leaving the Air Force. One perk was going along every Monday night on a quick run to Bowman Field near Louisville to deliver canceled checks to the Federal Reserve bank. We were a Cessna dealer, so most trips were made in a 310. I grew to really love this plane, and its design has always reminded me of Mike Mercury's Supercar (you have to be old to get that reference LOL). I was so glad when Milviz released this, and it has become my favorite. More important, while I had sort of grown bored with simming after all these years, its nostalgic appeal has given MSFS's appeal a boost.

I've always liked the Cessna 310. It just has that unique look to it. It looks like Milviz has done a great job modeling it, and from what I can tell so far it will be like "virtually" owning one. Nice video!

Great Vid, I recently picked this up and am in love with this plane. I'm a very casual simmer but am flying with all the realism settings on, and it's just an absolute joy. Can be a handful on approach, but if you don't practice you never learn.

Good morning from the Netherlands. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial you gave, very extensive but also professionally designed and especially the time you took to explain a few things. Thanks again.

I can taste the Fisherman's Grotto clam chowder in my mind as you flew over them. I wonder if there was a way to get the Comanche engine sounds into this bird? They would be twice as good, lol.

I've just sold my PS5 "doorstop" and bought an Xbox Series X. I have to admit it's very impressive for a tiny black box! Subscribed from Australia. Very curious as to what your PC spec components are as it looks really nice. Well done!!!

@@VFRSimulations One thing I have noticed. You need a very fast Internet connection for a high FPS. I have a 100MB/sec connection rock solid and I run the Bing sat overlay, live weather and live air traffic and even over NYC on the scenic flight I get no popup or stutter and it's silky smooth on my 86" 4K UHD LG TV. I'm very impressed with the Series X! Such little money for so much performance.

Don't you need to reduce the mixture lever during taxi so that you don't fowl the plugs?

Hello, just watched this, you mentioned the service ceiling being 20000 ft. I suppose this bird is not pressurized so is there oxygen supply or hypoxia simulated?

310 crashes just after takeoff and the right engine will not start if the sym starts in a parked area with engines off etc.

" ... and just a scosh high ..." I've been brought up in the metric system. Is 'Scosh" one of the imperial units of measure? What's the conversion to metres?
@RoddieH2 жыл бұрын
It's somewhere close to the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow.

What binding do you use to trim the elevator?

I have it bound using the elevator trim buttons for a switch and I think I've also used the axis for a trim wheel

Question.....i just bought this plane....does anyone know how to bind the prop rpm levers?? My throttle only controls the main throttle and not the props.

I bind them through the basic MSFS propeller controls, propeller 1 and 2

Which is more realistic, 310 or 414?
@VFRSimulations2 жыл бұрын
Good question, I don't have the 414 nor have I really flown in a 310 so I'll have to defer to people who have!

I’m not an expert either though I have both. In my opinion, they both are superbly rendered and do give one that feel of flight without much to complain about. But dare I say, I have enjoyed more feeling of flight from the Carenado Beechcraft D18 which has just been released despite its many landing and takeoff quirks. Give it a try.
