I've spent the last 2 hours looking for a video that shows the lines actually on a wall and the different settings. This is the only video on the internet that is this thorough. And even addressed my question about will it work on a camera tripod. Well done for the best video on the internet on this laser level.

I've tried using lasers for layout a few times, and other than once using it to set pendant supports for track lighting with a drop ceiling laser, it's usually been a case of I can't see the beam when I'm trying to nail up the part I'm laying out. but I've been saying they need to make these with a high power pulse mode, so you can set your elevation, step out of the house, and hit the pulse to mark uniform elevation throughout the house.

Yes, these 360° lasers are great for working on floor leveling for old houses with cracked slabs or sagging foundation walls. These green lasers are much more visible than red as well.

@@SparkyChannel have to be a little bit careful when leveling floors in old buildings. if it wasn't level to begin with, then trying to level it can create worse problems.

@@kenbrown2808 that actually happened to me once. Mine actually has a lock to keep plume still inside laser level

@@kenbrown2808 Ken, I have a lot of experience with leveling floors and you're absolutely correct. But in the right hands, this 360 laser is a money maker!

There's a little crank on my tripod. You just crank that and the laser and it's line goes up and down. Then there is a micro control on the unit for finer leveling. Thanks!

whatd you go with and how did it work out.. im in the same boat, can either get bosch that operates of D cells or the milwuakee that uses my m12 batteries, but the milwuakee doesnt seem like its intended to be a grading laser, they dont sell it in a kit with a tripod, grading rod and receiver you have to piece it together

just saw the video . great job. what grade rod is good with the laser line detector?
Will a 6ah battery fit without interfering with the laser line, I've just purchased one of these lasers and I need to get a battery, my regular wholesalers is out of 4ah, but 6ah is available. Thanks

These are amazing tools…..but are handicapping a large portion of commercial carpenters. Worked with a guy 25 years older than me who would be able to square up a dog house with his 3 plane laser….I was getting nauseous lining up his laser for him for a 12x30 deck. Went to check it and it was an inch out of wack because he had no idea how or where to start. Sad thing is these “commercial” carpenter make almost 8 more buck an hour more than residential guys and if they had to build anything that wasn’t already framed in around them it was be a disaster

You're asking about a tripod? I like the ones that have a fine up and down adjustment. You would want "travel style" as they are made to fit in standard suitcases.

I own the Milwaukee 360 green 3 plane laser cat no 3632-20 and I have the Milwaukee tripod. Tripod is not so good as the laser is heavy and the tri pod is flimsy. looking for a pole to use with the laser. Perhaps a Johnson Model #40-6301 ? Does anyone have their laser mounted to a pole?
